After listening to Matthes' post race interviews and Vitals, many riders essentially complained about the track.  Yes, passing opportunities were less than ideal, but they were also very critical with how rough it was and they had SX suspension and other components.  They said they were searching all day trying to make the bike work.....This is GREAT!  They have been told all year it was going to be a mix of both, but I guess they assumed it was just going to be SX without whoops.  Great work by Feld and MX Sports.  The track was the same for everyone and it was a successful "hybrid" track for once and I thought it was awesome.  They are going to have to balance their bikes differently.  Big Grant Harlan fan after those interviews.  He's a cool dude and such a great attitude.

Extra kudos for the TV production.  It was by far the most professional production we have ever had.

Agree! Of course the millionaires don’t care about winning another million or few hundred thousand after a long season but the guys further back are 100% loving the prize money. Matthes kept pressing Harlan about how “really” felt about these races and he was like “Dude, I’m making the most money I’ve ever made racing this sport. This is great!”

It’s not perfect and there are areas that could be improved but I dislike that no one covering them really wants to acknowledge any of the positives and only focus on the negatives.

I disliked there was nothing on the track except 1 quad that separated every one.

I was a bit sheepish when my youngest asked if I could jump something like that.😟

Are you just figuring out a 65 foot triple is easy?

Pretty accurate.  I just love they actually put thought into the "outdoor" sections and it has most confused.  That's great

Yea…riders sounded a little negative to unsure/mixed…although some were semi positive on the track.  A lot of them did like the format of the race.  Friday practice and 2x20 min motos+1.  Personally…as a fan…I thought it was the best racing I have seen in 4 months.  I loved the challenge of the track and the fact teams struggled a little with it.  If it were up to me I would also have whoops and challenge them even more.  Also…I freakin loved the split start.  First 450 Moto Jett looked about 3rd off the start on the right side and then just got swallowed up in the wave from both sides merging. The right hand turn ended up not being the disadvantage I thought it would be….although it may be why Hunter went down.  If you watch Hunter on the replay the second he takes his right foot off the rear brake he still has a little front brake on and washes out the front end.

Agreed.  The split start was awesome and the split lane was too.  Those usually don't work, but they got them both right this time.  Roczen's tweets were great too....
