This is no monster cup where whoever won the first race is the only one that can win the million. Even a bad showing this weekend doesnt preclude top guys from being in the hunt. As a result will we see different racing then a full season or more of the same?
I hope so.
Personally I think the double / triple points thing is ridiculous , I can see riders being cautious this first round 👍
Good point. But winner tonight gets $100k. 50k 2nd 25k third and half of that for 250’s.
that alot of bread. Just gotta get a top 5 today i guess as the first 8 positions for the series are 6 digits. Half for 250’s.
what a great payday for these guys.
The smart tactical thing to do would be to use this race to sort out suspension, how to approach the tracks etc.
Because of the multiplier on the other races (and including the starting points) this first race only accounts for 1/7 of the total points available. Not worth crashing, injury etc.

I agree it’s awesome for the riders , I just think there’s more to lose this round than there is to gain looking at it from there perspective.
For example say chase is 3rd last lap he’s on webbs tail , would he be willing to to risk making the move and going down for a couple of points , knowing the next 2 rounds are double and treble points ? I don’t think so ( not saying I’m right ) just trying to think from the riders point of view 👍
You can say goodbye to the 80’s racing. The riders now days race with class besides from Barcia and a couple of others.
Nobody want’s to start a war out there..
2nd round? Probably. 3rd round? Absolutely
Suspension was a strange mix of Supercross being too stiff and national suspension was to soft
The track did not bode well for block passing, or even passing. Was still entertaining, but i am not sure drag strips are the answer but it was far from being a terrible track. Split lane was one of the best i have seen. Very close and passes were made.
