I've come here four or five times and just got home from another trip. Its been killer every time. If you live in chicago, ft. wayne, or indy, it is totally worth checking out. It's never very crowded and the atmosphere is awesome. It's forgiving if you're a beginner or vet, and for faster and pro riders, it is a track you can really push hard and get good training on. Sometimes it is a little dry but even when it's dry, the silty berms are still rail-able. It's good all day. If you're a total princess just wait until the facebook explicitly says full prep and full water, or wait for a little rain. In the fall and spring, it doesn't really dry out too bad at all. The owner is friendly and the property is incredible. Just want to make it know to my northern living vital friends. Leisure Time mx is like 10 minutes from here as well, great 2-day riding trip destination. FYI - medaryville IN. is in BFE so if you forget anything like water or food, you're driving a ways unless you can buy it at dollar general. Also, I'm not affiliated with them in any way I just wanted to pass on what I consider a hidden gem of moto. Enjoy!

Haven't been there in a while.. It's def nice to have another close option but I prefer ltmx. There's no shade and it's been a dustbowl almost every time I've been granted it has been a while. Do they have set hours? If I recall you had to be a member to ride during the week?
How does it compare to ltmx? Always end up going to ltmx - hard to beat a full sand track of that nature.
Ahh not sure on that. I know you can ride during the week but as far as membership goes I don’t know. I live so far that I don’t ever bother inquiring since I go twice a year. The shade thing.. I mean sure it’s nice but that can’t be a factor. Same thing on the dust, dry is dry wherever you are. I ended up there one time that I braved some questionable weather and it rained about 0.2 inches at 4 am and that will forever be a memory of mine as one of “those” days at the track. Virtually nobody showed up and me and two guys had this pristine track all to ourselves. I think I did 5 25 minute motos that day I rode until I pulled off with an irreversible cramp lmao
They’re definitely different. LTMX is like a south wick feel from my best guess. FMX is loose and sandy but not quite as deep. The corners are more bowly and not as bermy like LTMX. Idk if that makes sense. It’s because they allow quads and that influences the corners. They still flow really well. The major difference is it’s “siltier” which is why it’s really water dependent. To me, it rides great dry though. Some tracks when they get dry it’s game over but not FMX so much. If you are just a little more balanced in your berm blasting you won’t slide out. You also can’t brake as hard. Other than that it stays pretty great.

I hear you, sounds awesome and the opposite of what I experienced lol. I think the shade is def a factor, esp for a vet guy. If I remember correctly its basically in the middle of a corn field. My last memory of the place was a 90+ degrees, sun beating down, sucking dust all day, wishing I had an ez up.lol. One of the nice things about LTMX is all the trees. Not only is it cooler when taking a rest but the track holds moisture better. I will have to check in with fmx and see what their schedule is like. I was not at LT this past Sat, although I may try and get out there tomorrow. You planning a trip out anytime soon?

I will say this, I was sponsored by FMX Paradise and helped out a lot from 2015-2019. Tanya had come a long long ways and she is always the first one to offer support to riders that show heart or don’t have a silver spoon from birth. She helped me race the Triple Crown Series and when that track is watered down, it’s a blast. She didn’t have much help so very hard to water a track like that by yourself. She had poured so much money into it because she loves it. Happy to see her get some love!
I did some good motos at LTMX today in the heat. Haven’t been to FMX in several years, will have to get back and check it out.

She’s great and we get along great. They had watered the corners and didn’t get the corner entries and so you really couldn’t brake on the way in and it was making the turns kinda funky and she immediately asked the guy that was helping to come over and they went and put some water down. They could use a good tilling too but otherwise that place is rad.
Just got back from the FMX/LTMX double header. I try to do it about every 2-3 months. It’s a long weekend and a lot of work but the riding is awesome. Mostly rough because of the camping and lack of amenities but that’s part of it. I don’t have a big motor home or whatever. Me and a car with a trailer lmao. The trip is cheap getting 32mpg thoigh.
