Not that I am commenting on what James is doing. I would be interested to know what various trainers say about this. Jeff Ward said the same thing on Matthes podcast-- course his trainer was Spencer I believe.
Either way, if those are 30 pound weights that's pretty heavy weight for a guy James's size to be pushing up with free weights. Strength and endurance is my bet.
