2024 450 supercross line up is pretty strong. Just think if everyone is healthy for Anaheim 1. Think the 450 LCQ just might be the best race of the night.

Jeremy Martin won't be a on a 450 in Supercross.
Robbie Wageman is riding a 250 for Solitaire at A1.
Brandon Hartranft won't be racing again.
Henry Miller is riding 250s for Ti-Lube Honda.
Mitchell Oldenburg will likely be back with MCR on a 250.
If the rumor of Savatgy at Triumph is true, he won't be at A1.
Imagine if we still had semis. I agree with many that the semi races were meh. But what they did is made the heats amazing. Only taking 4 in that field would be some awesome racing that’s for sure.
Unpopular opinion, I loved Semis. For both the reason you listed and even the racing in the Semis as well. More do or die like LCQs.
Why that’s an unpopular opinion baffles me. Fuck hot laps I want to see a gate drop and a race with consequences. Oh so and so ripped a 54 second lap, yawn....

What I think is pretty cool, we always talked about a certain group of riders retiring in the last years. But instead of retiring, they're continuing and riding into their thirties. Now we're in the situation where three of the best 250 riders from the last years join the big boy class.
Every year we have that talk about the "most stacked class ever". We need some stat nerd now, could 2024 be the most stacked field so far?
Do you mean for A1 or for the championship?
If for the championship - taking inevitable injuries into account - I would go with:
1. #18 Jett Lawrence
2. #3 Eli Tomac
3. #23 Chase Sexton
4. #96 Hunter Lawrence
4. #2 Cooper Webb
5. #21 Jason Anderson
6. #94 Ken Roczen
6. #51 Justin Barcia
7. #32 Justin Cooper
8. #7 Aaron Plessinger
9. #27 Malcolm Stewart
10 . #25 Marvin Musquin
Answers to your questions:
Will Jett dominate the class? Yes
Tomac' leg be ready? Yes
Sexton's KTM stay off the ground? No. He'll continue to wash the front end.
Webb win on the blue bike? No.
Stewart and Graig stay healthy? No.
Ferrandis have a ride? Yes.
Barcia bang his way to the front? He'll try. May get one win, but unlikely.
Which Hill brother be on top? Justin by a large margin.
Plessinger ever be on the top step? No.
AC top ten or take RC's job in the booth? Top ten. He won't get RC's job. History shows they want someone with 450 supercross championships. If someone knocks off RC it will be Stew.
Hunter-Hunting for 10th? He'll be regularly in the top 5.
Anderson, 3rd place guy? Depends. If 2022 Anderson shows up he could get wins. If 2023 version, he'll be inconsistent.
Is Chiz gonna start Chizzing again? Don't care, he can Chizz all over himself if he wants.
Nichols and Bloss find happiness with the new Beta? Let's see.
Or Will Kenny KICK his way to Championship? No.
6% of votes for the reigning champ. Wow
Bar Tomac he had everyone covered by a mile in 2023. If he can only take away half of his front end washes he'll be hard to beat. Provided he's comfortable on the KTM
We haven’t even seen Jett on supercross on a 450 and everyone is creaming their jeans. Different beast than outdoors, everyone calm down . Remember there’s a kid that rides a blue bike with a #3 on it.
Different yes but only two other guys ever went undefeated in MX and they dominated SX too. I don’t think it’s far fetched to say Jett is the guy to beat.
Webb win? NOPE! That train has sailed. I’m somewhat surprised Astarte signed him unless it was more of a publicity thing. Or maybe it was done before they knew what Tomac was going to do and needed a vet name on the big bike.
He won this year and wasn't outside the top 5 in a single race before his freak accident took him out. What makes you think he can't win this year? The YZF that much worse than the KTM?
That lineup is pretty solid. I just hope that SX doesn't sideline a bunch of dudes.
Some reasons: Jett Lawrence, Eli Tomac, and Chase Sexton. You could also add in Hunter Lawrence, Ken Roczen, and Jason Anderson. He doesn't have the speed for Jett and Chase, and probably Eli also.
Fair enough. I still think it's dumb to count him out. He was clearly not comfortable on the KTM the last 2 years and still did alright. He literally held the red plate after round 10 and was within 10 points of it when he crashed out. Makes no sense to me that people think someone like that can't win a SINGLE race. I'm not talking about the title.
Sure Sexton is faster. He was also much faster than Tomac this year and it took a torn Achilles for him to win the title
Webb 2024 Champ!
I hope Cooper Webb returns to the cocky fighter pilot he was in his 250 days and go for broke. I could tell he wanted to mature early on the 450 and went from a lightning fast fighter to a more conservative, championship minded warrior. Not saying that strategy isn’t legit but this may not be the year for that. Risk it all and crank up the speed.
Pit Row
Can’t wait to see someone stuff Jett in a corner welcome to 450 supercross mate 🤣
I hope to see less injuries and more race winners
One question, why?
There is a very good chance the 450 class in SX next year is like the 250 class was in MX this year
Is the 3024 calendar out?
2024
His first go around on the YZ450f wasn't great. He seemed to do better on the less stable KTM than the newer, more stable KTM. The YZ is also known for stability and not the best steering. He would probably do well on a Honda.
