Nothing racial about that until you added it.

I do. Everybody get's it that you don't like James. Especially since you made a thread about it. There are plenty of riders out there that I don't care much for. I'm not wasting space in the forum making threads about it. Just sounds to me that you are jealous.

Just saying.

Guess you have all the answers.

This forum wouldn't have anything worth reading without everyone's opinions.

I saw where Josh Grant pretty much said if he could beat James, it couldn't get any better than that. What's your take on this?

You can bring up MANY examples of other riders words or actions, but it is not going to change their minds on James. IMO

I know. Some people just dislike riders because they are in the way of their favorite riders path to the championship.

I am the first to defend him regarding his raw speed and talent, and I love to watch him ride pure poetry on a motorcycle for sure..... but did he just really say that he has done more for the sport than anyone else before.... really!?
well, he has a good case. Really, what has MC, RC or anybody before them done for the sport other than win races and C'ships?

bud light, 1800 collect, network tv, mazda, the nac nac..... need more?

As far as bringing in sponsors, no one yet has done more than mc, and TP. James might be the fastest ever, but even my grandma knows who TP199 is.

I am not trying to take anything away from his riding and I am a fan of his, like I said he is unbelievable on a motorcycle and I love to watch him ride.....I just think he came across a bit full of himself in that segment he did, I guess there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. I think that he is going to be hard pressed to get 73 wins with the decks being stacked against him with all the riders stepping up to the 450 class with RV, RD, JG, KW not to mention next year when Pourcel steps up…. It is going to be tough for him for sure!.

First, James didn't say he's done more for the sport than anyone else. He said he has left his mark if he retired today and he's done some things for the sport that no one before him has done. Second, I meant to say "what MORE has MC or RC done"

I wasn't trying to say MC has not done anything for the sport. I left out the word "more" in my first post. My bad

James is awesome no doubt, but he does seem to think he walks on water which is a turn off. Travis has left his mark more than anyone and he isn't even a racer anymore.

That being said can ANYONE beat James consistently?

That was kinda my point although I didn't really put the connection in there. RC was the ONLY guy who could push James hard enough to make him screw up on a regular basis. Is ther anyone who can do that now?

I am so looking forward to seeing if the Ryans can do it.

Heh heh heh... I hate that!

And no, no one as of today can beat James consistently. But this year should be epic.

Had the unique pleasure of watching Villopoto kill it at the MXDN in '07. I couldn't believe what I was seeing!

If he can ride the 450 in supercross (and the nationals) like he rode is 250 that day, everyone better be worried! I'm telling you, nobody at Budds Creek that day had anything for Ryan. And he was on a 250!!! I know Ricky got a shitty start and amazed everyone with his dominance while making up positions, but I believe RV's lap times where right there with his on that particular day.

He's shown he's got the speed, I hope he shows it again this season.

Yep, I agree James Stewart and Larry Brooks are a nice couple and a match made in Heaven. They both have a great work ethic and have won many Championships, one as a racer and other as a Manager.
