Big shoes to fill, but the kid is making a big debut at the pros. He isn't a phenom... He has one Loretta B title, no other championship won at Loretta...

Poll

Julien Beaumer, the new Ryan Dungey

What is it with people. Is Jett the greatest ever, is Beaumer the new Dungey. You guys are nuts, way too soon.

You do realize that Dungey won his first professional race, right?  This survey is stupid.  Boomer isn’t even close.

8-8 for 7th overall. Millville 2006. Same race RC lapped everyone

That is why I made this post. A young kid without big references at Loretta but shows skill at first national.

Seems like a good kid and he's obviously got potential, but while I love the enthusiasm I can't even begin to imagine the thought process that leads to "is he the next Dungey?" or whoever... I like the optimism but you're crazy dude 😂👍

I was bummed that he and Bennick went down in that first corner and didn’t get to battle it out in the final futures race of the year.

Actually Bret,  Dungey got 2nd in his very first pro race. He was forced to move up to the Pro class at Mammoth in ‘06, he had a great race with McGrath, but Jeremy beat him.
what race were you thinking about him winning ?

But as mentioned already, he went 8-8 for 7th in his first AMA pro national.

Washougal in ‘08 was his first win outdoors. He went 2-1 to edge out Villopoto, who went 1-2.

He did win his first SX race at Atlanta in ‘07

There are plenty of guys who haven’t been an ALL-STAR at Lorettas that had a good first race after turning pro and racing a national.
He may end up being special, but making a post about him being the next Dungey is a little premature.

Another 'first win' - think he raced an Arenacross in Fresno (?) and did win...

Yeah, I think he needed the points to get his SX license.
I know that the rules have changed for acquiring points to get your AMA MX and SX licenses over the years. But I think that was shortly after Mammoth

Damn, I thought this thread was really  premature after his performance at A1.

Then I realized it was after his outdoors debut last year! 😂

Y’all are wild with some of these takes - let the kid race a handful of them first, damn!
