So I got an Alpinestar Bionic, the Carbon Fiber one. It was a good bit better and I wore it for a pretty good while. One day, I forgot it and rode without it and felt a little more comfortable. So it has been sitting in the garage ever since. I am actually trying to sell it. Hate to SPAM, but here is the link to it on MXTrader.net. It needs a good home!!

here's a good comparison: http://5thgearmx.com/Leatt-Brace.html
Many top safety brands had been working on SCI for the last 10 years and more when Leatt released their neck-brace. Alpinestars and 3 others were very close but not happy with the side-effect injuries of the systems at the time.
The A-Stars is a drastically different products than the Leatt apart from appearance.
As frar as research, A-Stars tested on cadavers, which is much closer to reality than computer tests, without the functioning muscles.
Now, if you are looking for the ultimate design, you need to look closer at the Ortema. See the back design...
