On one of the RacerX podcasts JS7 made mention of how he regrets some of his comments in older interviews. Like he felt he was immature and he didn't come across positively in his early pro years interviews.

I've been watching my library of the Great Outdoors recently and I cant really find anything in the series that he said which would strike me as immature or reflect badly on him.

He definitely sounds confident and more importantly fully honest.

Contrast that with today where I feel he is more guarded and PC with his comments.

I guess my point is I dont see anything wrong with speaking confidently and unfiltered as long as you can back it up, which he obviously does. I'd like to hear some more of the Bubba in interviews than JS7.

X2, and not just James. All of these guys need to just say what they are thinking. They get bashed no matter what anyway so what difference does it make?

Good point.
Its like they think by filtering what they really feel, they're gonna gain another fan or two when in reality, anyone who's sitting on the fence is gonna usually fall away rather than toward no matter what they say or do.

He probably gets tired of Haters trying to insult him, I am sure it gets old.

So he probably figures the less he says and the less he says that could be thought of as controversial the less the Haters will have to say negative about him.

Hopefully he realizes the type of people that do that consistently (especially on a public forum) are probably miserable people anyway. JMHO

The less hey says, the less Lenny has to make him look bad. For some reason homeslice feels it's his duty in life to defend brotha James even though we all love him.

I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to JS and his dad at some SE Am. races in 2002.
The family has always been a class act.
JS has NOTHING to be ashamed of.

IMO, he should really be more careful about his actions rather than his words. I believe missing races, missing series and whining is worst than saying something stupid. Positive actions are the RV vs. James races, James vs. Reed championships....all actions that speak louder than stupid words.

James just needs to be comfortable with who he is and allow that personality to show.

like the old saying goes... "actions speak louder than words". I like #7, he said in the Matthes podcast he was going to be more outspoken this year compared to years past. I guess we all will have to wait and see.

Technically yes but I dont see the "entity" JS7 being renamed.
Your right though, I am referring to the man and he is indeed now JS1.

I'm all for riders speaking their mind.

Look how many people watch the WWE/WWF. Those guys talk trash, and battle it out, and it's fake, yet millions of people watch it.

I think intense rivalries would are better for the sport.
