MC always had the best looking helmets. I don’t recall that one, though. Good luck with your search👍

The boost noble sticker over the no fear logo is interesting.  I don’t think that’s a clue though, as I think he was in no fear when he had the 1.

Gotta be 2000. Didn’t chaparral bail in 01?

What’s the purpose of looking for pictures of him wearing this helmet?

Definitely weird. Boost wasn't sponsoring moto in the US until 2001, and that's a more contemporary Boost logo. The early Boost logo had that yellow double triangle behind "Boost."

That helmet is identical to his yellow and red 2000 helmet:

Thankyou everyone, that video narrowing it down to 1999 will hopefully make it easier to find something!

I went through all the rounds of 1999 I could find, I still couldn't find which round he wore the green helmet.

This has been bugging me all day. I watched clips of every '99 Supercross race and he never wore green gear, or a green helmet. I watched Bercy and Britain Supercross along with the only outdoor national he raced in '99, which was the opening round at Glen Helen. No green helmet.

So I came up with a conspiracy theory, like most do after going down an internet rabbit hole... they made up the green helmet story to help sell the modern-day replica Bell helmet that had to be green because he was riding Kawis and sponsored by Monster Energy. Troy Lee painted the old Bell Moto 8 to look like his yellow and blue helmet from back in 1999.

Same here! I couldn't find anything from any race of 99 or 2000 with the green gear or green helmet!

That boost mobile logo is a sticker placed very blatantly over a No Fear logo.

All I mean by this is it was meant to cover something that is no longer relevant. So it isn’t an indication of a time period necessarily.

I thought that possibly to, but he wore white and blue gear and had a blue/red helmet at Las Vegas in 99

That has to be his 1999 blue and red helmet "updated" for the manufacturer he currently rides for. He never wore green back then.

The swirls and bubbles are nearly identical. So sure, his 1999 moto 6(7?) with new colors.

Dammit Tom, do you see what you’ve started? Are you part of this conspiracy? We WILL find out the truth, Tom. It will suck to be you if we find out you work for Bell. We know people.

He wore the green No Fear gear in his Indianapolis heat race but had a special helmet for charity (or something) and didn't wear the green helmet with it.

I was at Jeremy's one off SX event at the LA Coliseum in 1999. He hosted the event and got beat by Jimmy Button. Afterwards Jeremy threw a chicken barbaque for everyone in the pits.

That green helmet is a stand out and I'll start digging in the boxes to find all my 1999 pictures. I have a feeling it my be from this event.

Ferry won. For whatever reason I attended that race at 14 years old.

Thanks for pointing that out.... yes, it was Ferry. If I remember correctly McGrath dropped it somewhere and then rode like he was possessed but ran out of time to pass Ferry.

Damn long time ago. That must have been a awesome experience as a 14 yr old dude. I was 28 at the time and living the ultimate adventure traveling the country from race to race. The McGrath era was wild. Great memories indeed.

Not sure if its legit - looks like a modern day reproduction to me

- I don't recall them every using that specific mazda trucks yellow sticker, and im pretty sure the typeface used for "showtime" wasn't around back then either

- the bell sticker is larger than it was back then and so is the troy lee designs sticker
