As a lifelong Yamaha fan.....  I hate it.

There is nothing "anniversary" about it. 

 

At least Honda knows how to do an anniversary edition.

And while I love how it looks, I still think it is goofy to celebrate a completely irrelevent time period when you're doing an anniversary bike, similar to Honda last year or 2 years ago.

Already pricing out the graphic kit on d'cor to make my bike look like this. Now to figure out how I'm going to get purple wheels hmmmm.

Why would you want a graphic kit that looks like some 5 year old made in paint?.

 

i really love the 90’s but this design screams last minute job…

           I am with Magoofan, the Silver/Red colors are what truly herald the roots of Yamaha YZ’s introduction to America. My kid brother had the 125 version , it was a ripper, but seemed very frail due to the extremes they went to save weight.

If you can't get a set of Excel wheels in purple, SM Pro and Motostar both offer wheels in purple.

I think it looks sweet. Could lose the monster logo but with what moster pays I would keep it.

Man you guys are a tough crowd to please! I for one think it’s pretty cool when factories mix up the look of their bikes and wish they did it more often. Not my cup of tea but still cool to see different looks!

You guys can hate on the Monster Claw all you want, but my 4-year-old sees it on the local gas station sign and says "Supercross" so their marketing is working for being noticed.

For once I don't think the claw looks that bad. I'd buy it. Yamaha should have did a bike for each decade.

Who hates the monster logo?  In green it looks stupid on a pink/purple bike that looks like a kindergartener used crayons to paint.
