I have a 24 SXF 350 and im on 3 hours ride time, the engine has really come alive now and i absolutely love the motor. i have a technical touch conversion in the front, i went 4 clicks softer and set the sag on the shock from stock and thats all ive had to do. Motor wise i have a Pro Circuit Ti-6 on it and i love it, but curious on what other peoples gearing choices are. Its a very smooth motor that revs a long way, i dont want to ruin it but also i think it could handle a bit more on the bottom

Usually it would be the first thing I would get but I don’t think I need one on this bike. The power is almost perfect I just wondered if anyone had made any gearing changes as the 14/52 seems like it has some scope for change

I’ve had a couple of weird and annoying issues with my ‘23. First, the wiring harness broke where it wraps around the head tube at 18 hours. Then at High Point Sunday my bike started puking coolant (29 hours). Tore into it today and found a crack in the tee that connects the two radiators inside the frame. It’s now made of plastic… really dumb design. Just a heads up on a few things to look out for.

Mine finally cracked in the exact same place. Although KTM has had a recall on these last year, they are not covering the ‘23 models yet. But I bet they will be soon, I’ve seen a few lately.

Finally rode the 350.

Weirdly wasn't feeling that stoked to try it as a 450 guy - figured there was a decent chance I'd made a mistake buying it.

Any concerns disappeared after 1 lap. Holy crap this bike is FUN. Significantly faster than the last one I rode (2013 I think).

Feels like it suits a taller guy better, felt comfier standing up than my previous gen KTM.

It came with a full Akroprovic, is it worth getting the Vortex too? Any other essential mods that are recommended?

Motor wise you will love a vortex. It makes a great bike fantastic. I had Twisted Development map mine and it is the best mod for the money in my opinion. I also swapped my air filter cage for the two stroke model ($12 part) and it gives it a little more throttle response.
I see deals on here occasionally for a Vortex so you might keep your eye out for that. 23/24 models are exactly the same.

I really love both bikes the way I have them setup. I only ride the 350 on the MX track, The 300 I ride in the woods and some MX. I am more comfortable on the 350 riding MX, I think because I have been riding/racing 4 strokes since 2008. Before that it was 250 2 Strokes for over 10 years. I am sure if I rode the 300 consistently on the track I would get more comfortable on it. For pure fun the 300 is hard to beat IMO

Similar situation here

I have a ‘23 XC300 for my main OffRoad bike and a ‘23 SXF350 for my track bike. I had a ‘23 SX300 and I really tried to like it, but I never got comfortable on it, so I sold it and bought another 350. I should’ve kept my ‘19 350, it was such a good bike. Haven’t ridden the ‘23 yet, but plan to ride on here shortly.
I’ve had many 250 2-strokes and even had a ‘18 150 that were all very fun to ride moto on. The ‘23 300 felt more like a 500 than a 250, it had a very light front end, thanks to the burly motor. That wasn’t making things easy and I decided to sell it while it was still new and desirable.
I have Cone Valves and the Trax shock on my ‘23, I’m sure I’ll get use to the chassis change, once I have some time on it.

Have you put any time on the '23 350 with the new traxx shock? Wondering what you think of it

I have 10 hours on it and am very happy with it. I didn’t ride with the stock shock, so I have no comparison.
I buy my forks/ shock all set up for me as well, so of course that’s what really matters

Are you running the "new" Cone valve forks? I have some from 2022 from my previous gen bike.

I have heard they aren't that different, do you know it that is the case?

Yes I am. The forks are the same, only the shock changed.

Awesome, thanks. Still on the stock linkage? Care to share any pics of your bike?

Yeah, still on the stock linkage. It seems to work pretty good with Billys valving and I’m not sure about spending $500+ on the REP linkage to find the difference… I had one on my ‘19 350 and that bike worked great, but I installed it before I rode it with the stock linkage. So I have no basis to compare to….

That is a good looking bike! I just got one, I really like it. I just watched Keefers test above and it made my mind up I need to get a vortex, it is a little lazy on the bottom and the decel pop is annoying. I was going to go to a 53 rear sprocket but it looks like the ECU is the answer. Mine has a full Ti bolt kit, Talon clamps, Technical Touch KYB conversion, PC Ti-6 and a few other bits. The shock all I have done is 4 clicks softer on compression and sag at 105mm and it feels great, only 5 hours ride time so far.

I have a vortex ECU listed on the for sale section for a 23/24 350 SX-F mapped by Twisted Development. It is the 22.5 ECU so the handlebar switch doesn’t work.

Thanks for the offer but I have been a really sharp price on a new one, good luck with the sale of yours though! Did you find it worked well?

How do you like the PC exhaust on the 350?

I just picked up a 24 XC-F 350 with the new spring fork. Only one ride and 1.5 hours. Planned to do a PC exhaust and vortex as well.

I really like the PC, it’s really smooth power off the bottom. I haven’t really been revving this bike out like I would my previous 250F so I can’t comment on the top end. As always with PC the build quality is perfect, fits like a glove

Any recommendations on a good dealer in SoCal to pick up a 23? I just got quoted 11k otd with taxes and what not, which isn’t terrible, but the price is $7500 so $3500 in taxes and fees seems a little high

Not sure if they have any 23’s left but check Poway Powersports. Have bought two bikes through them and it’s no BS. Good luck.

Maybe the 350s are selling well, I've seen 23 ktm and husky 450s going for 9500 otd in nor cal with tax etc.

The 450s are quite a bit cheaper around here from what I’ve seen. The 350s have been around 2k more everywhere. I was going to go the cheaper route and get the 450 to save money, but I really had no desire to get a 450 and the 350 will have better resale value if I end up not liking it (been on 2 strokes for a long time). I also was quoted at $450 more for the FE over the 350 so now that’s throwing me for a loop.. no desire for a 450, but that’s going to be a tough decision when both bikes are sitting in front of me

Ignore the price. Get the 350.

Any recommendations on a good dealer in SoCal to pick up a 23? I just got quoted 11k otd with taxes and what not, which isn’t terrible, but the price is $7500 so $3500 in taxes and fees seems a little high

Maybe the 350s are selling well, I've seen 23 ktm and husky 450s going for 9500 otd in nor cal with tax etc.

Motor cafe in Campbell.

You just gotta call around until you find what you want.  Hopefully rebates still running for you.

My 23 ktm 450 was cheaper than my 2017 fc450 otd!!!
