Just trying to help.

They were shitty, and needed help. There is a lot better 125's out there.

My son has that same bike. We picked it up this last summer. It has the reeds fmf pipe and the shortest shorty I have ever seen. Did the top end and it seemed to have had port work done and also a different air box on it. stock bore. It rips mid to top, bottom is a little sluggish. clutch and motor have been pretty bullet proof so far.

Great handling bike. Speed isnt always the winning factor. Being able to turn under your opponent wins races. Great bikes.

Anyone in the New England area looking for a 2001 CR125 my buddy has a pretty clean one for $1,600.

If you are running a 125 of any brand I highly recommend going to the 144 be it a kit, stock or custom mod.
It greatly improves the bottom end power curve and still has that ripping mid to high.

If you want a 125 that turns start looking for an RM 125 that thing will cut under any bike out on the track. I like my brothers KTM 144 but damn my RM can pretty much cut under that bike with just a flip of the switch. Just waiting to get the 144 kit for it next. Not to mention the bike already pulls for days. Tons of top end no bottom though. If I remember correctly the CR was a turd of a bike, although with a good pipe and silencer set up, V force, gearing, and port work it ripped. But as for now the RM rips most fun I have had in while out at the track. Still laughing at passing the new 450's at the track last week.

Put a Suzuki piston/ pin brg.( 754m05400 wiseco ) in it.
Pin location is 1.5 mm different. Cyl head squish area will have to be redone ,but it will make a TON of difference in it !
