Hey guys, I recently bought a 2023 husqvarna tc 125.
I know the suspension is shorter on the husky. I have a set of spring forks that are ktm length that I would like to use on it. What would I need to do to make the shock match the front end?
The linkage and knuckle are what lower the rear. The shock has a thicker cap to limit travel to keep the wheel from smashing into the fender. I think you need the ktm linkage and a suspension tuner to change the shock cap to a ktm thickness one. You could use the stock shock you would just lose the last 10mm of wheel travel. That might not be a big deal.
I just picked up a pair of ‘24 KTM bikes and I’ve been thinking about reaching out to Husky owners to see if they are interested in trading shocks and linkages, as I’m only 5’4. Not sure how much of a difference it’ll even help me, if at all.
10mm is supposedly how much lower the suspension is. The other 10mm comes from the subframe/seat.
I may be interested in that. I'm going to ride the bike for the first time tomorrow. I also have a 23 Ktm 350 so I'll let you know how different it feels.
