Yeah I won't lie it's just for looks. I like building these things. But I do intend to ride this bike which is why I'm asking about long term fatigue.

This is what I've read several times. That pros of that period would turn them down and like I said I saw where they even pastrana factory suzuki had a turned down stock front hub and factory rear. But the stories always seemed to be from people who I imagine replaced wheels fairly regularly 😆 🤣
Not to dispute and not saying removing them will reduce strength to a failure point, I have no idea. But if the only reason to not remove them is to save a step and save money, ahhhh... why not just not put them there in the first place, like many other hubs? That would really save money.

Tooling those ribs in there was no accident.
If they were casting joints, I would agree that they could be cleaned up, but those were purposefully engineered into the tooling. No idea what steps it would have saved, it obviously added steps.

Without knowing a lot more about the hub, it's hard to say whether those ribs are necessary for strength or not. But just because they're there doesn't mean that they need to be there; many things are not engineered so much as they're designed. This could simply be the case of an engineer/designer putting them in there to better hide the casting lines. Or simply because they felt they looked cool and wanted to "leave their mark" on the bike. It happens all the time in all industries.
I doubt anyone did an proper engineering analysis on the hub, found it to be too weak, and added those ribs; it's not a very efficient way to increase strength. It's far more efficient to increase the diameter of the portion connecting the hub flanges and change the thickness if needed.
I bet you could remove those ribs, polish everything up, and it would be just fine. That said, I don't know for sure, and neither does anyone else here. Regardless, doing that is a lot of work! Why not just buy a new aftermarket hub instead?
Those ribs are actually fan blades meant to direct air to the brake caliper for cooling, if you machine them out your brakes will overheat.
