Zuckerberg: We Lied and Censored You

Zuckerberg claims that his corporations lied and censored Americans during the pandemic for the establishment, not him (also the establishment).

Twitter is attempting to provide a platform that supports free speech but advertisers and others are leaving over subjective claims of “Constitutionally protected speech” which cannot be allowed.

Democrats overwhelmingly support this, they own what you think, say, and do.

How is this news.

We all know,

And they know we know

And they are now irrelevant as a result.

He’s normalizing it so they can do it again in 2024, possibly overtly.

"Possibly" ???

🤔

They certainly haven't been hiding the fact that, that's exactly what they're doing.

I'd call it, openly overtly.

I think, in addition to RangerDanger’s and your comments, it is normal and expected that they do it.

They may decide that they want it to happen.

I wish Lex would be a little more hard hitting in his interviews but that is not his style. He was practically in awe of his guest when he interviewed Francis Collins.

Oh well.

Individuals who fight so hard to keep the government and regulations out of businesses always get slapped in the face of hypocrisy when they realize sometimes those actions hurt their very own views.  Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.. are privately owned corporations who can force any agenda they please. Just like NBC or Fox News. Any IT person I've known for the last few decades have warned of this. Google can actively push down results for politicians or opinions they don't agree with (same with shoe manufacturers or any other sort of business). So "don't tread on me". If you don't like Facebooks agenda, use something else.

These are the problems. They became rich by stealing your information and selling it. They lie to you for their benefit and then censor you, at the governments request, to protect themselves and repeat the cycle.

What does it take to delete your account?  Are we so abused that we can’t?

Exactly, what stops them from being corrupt? Is it more government regulation? I would think as conservative we should let the free market decide, and if those services are doing you a dis-service than you shouldn't be using them.

If you're not paying for it, you're not the customer; you're the product.

Completely agree, they were able to hide that for a long time.

Im surprised there aren’t ways to disrupt their scams. Maybe I just haven’t heard.

Facebook is so terrible and has been for a long time.  If you pay attention to all the crap you're scrolling through, it's like 1/3 people you actually know, 1/3 suggested posts, that are mostly tabloid type content and 1/3 advertisements. The only thing worthwhile on there now is Liberty memes. Everybody just posts really funny memes in these long threads. The most fun I had was a Pro-Trump group right around election time. It got up to 250,000 members, but then it was deleted and re-deleted and re-deleted. Nothing suspicious about that at all. Each time they would blame it on hate speech, or something totally stupid. It was just a bunch of guys bullshitting

I treat FB, Twitter, tictoc, etc...the same as I do food.  I'll try it but if it tastes like shit...I don't ask for seconds.  I haven't found anything good about social media.  Seems like it's just full of folks shouting, "look at me" or telling others they are Karen's or Nazis.

I suppose I'm two faced because I do spend time here and it can draw it's share of flys as well.

I really don’t understand people who support TikTok and the Chinese Communist regime. Instagram is a pedophile breeding ground, evidently. Facebook has gone over the top with crap in the last year.

You're absolutely right Facebook has been terrible for a long time and continues to get worse, and Instagram is following its foot steps.

Facebook used to be great on keeping up with old friends who have moved or you just dont talk to anymore, but was destroyed when they started adding groups and the ability to share articles. Now its just cesspool of bullshit articles that someone reads the headline and shares, without looking into the article at all. Once you start liking/commenting on one persons posts, thats all you ever see again, the same damn 5-10 people and whatever article they decide to share that way.

My favorite thing about facebook is how desperate it gets when you haven't been active on it. Instead of notifications that directly relate to you, if you dont check it for a few days, you will login to see 100s of irrelevent notifications. "See this post from your friend that you haven't interacted with in the last 10 years!

Instagrams algorithm is freaking garbage. I dont want to see the same 3 posts from the same user from the last time I opened it, and I for damn sure don't want to see posts from pages I dont follow. Go back to showing the chronoligical posts from people I actually follow.

Lol...lots of folks looking for gold and diamonds in the manure pile.  I jumped in with my shovel at first...but the truth is...there ain't nothing but poop in the pile.  Well, I reckon there's rewards if you own the site...but nothin' but turds for the shovel gang.Blush

DARPA had an experimental platform being developed post 9/11 called LifeLog. It was designed to gather data on the public and it was shut down the same day Facebook was launched. Probably just a coincidence, because we all know that Facebook was really created by a bunch of drunk frat boys in a dorm room.

Is Facebook LifeLog?

That timeline coincidence looks sketch.

I started a FB profile in '09, didn't like the vibe of the place so I deleted it a couple of months in. Haven't been back since.
