Just wondering if having so many top guys out with injury or whatever reason...is it helping the little guys make a bit more bank....or even making a few bucks they didn't see before.

If you're like me...slipping a couple of Jackson's to a kid on the payout bubble feels pretty good.  We may not be seeing all the fast boys dicing it out but finishing high enough, at a national, to win gas money is cool shit.

Yes, it's probably good for them to have a depleted field, once in a blue moon.

If this occures reguarly, the fans will go away as will top end sponsors. Then the sport will decline.

Jerry Robbin was a 20th - 30th guy last year. Now inside the top 10.

Real fans will not go anywhere, and the sponsors need the exposure, so they aren't going anywhere either. I'm always pulling for the little guys who mostly are doing it on their own dime so I'm glad they are getting this time to get more attention.

It really isn’t rare since injuries to top level racers happens to some degree every year but this year certainly is to the extreme level and privateers can cash in or at least catch up on expenses.
