I'm really dissapointed that James won't be racing the Italian and Aussie SX races.

Like a lot of people on here, I like MX way better than SX. But still like to keep up with anything that's going on in the world of moto. James adds a lot to any event anytime he is on the track.

Get well soon James!

Man there sure were a LOT of people predicting a no show for Brisbane (for whatever reasons) and damn it they are right.

I've got my tickets, it's just down the road from me, so will be a good night anyway but i was looking foward to that battle.

In the words of my wife - how convenient.

Got to feel for the italians twice robbed of seeing Bubba this year! Plus no Reed to cover up like in Oz . I heard they were already struggling to find other riders now without JS7 it's a big blow for them let's hope it's not going to kill them off!

I really respect James for putting out a statement early and not waiting until the day before the event. That was the one thing that pissed me off about James. He would always wait until the last minute to put out a statement if he was or was not racing or you wouldn't hear anything at all from his camp. Thanks James and get better
How many times are you talking about when you say "would always"? I don't recall him missing too many events last minute.

I think after the Vegas SX in May James just went to Vegas for the US Open, and Paris for Bercy, so the traveling thing doesn't seem to fit , at least not this year. I know he had the ride days also, but he obviously did not do the outdoors.
Hope he is good for A1.

2005 & 2006 us open and outdoors mainly, but yes you are right, he has not missed many lately.

Hope it's not the same thing that happened to him in 2005. He was having severe stomach issues then too. Btw, did they ever find out what was wrong with him back then?

So now with James out ....
What does the Genoa SX entree list look like as far as American riders go?
That track over there was supposed to be a full on large American style SX track with 50 some second lap times.

Totally bummer. I hope he gets well soon and that's not something serious. Out of medical curiosity, it would be interesting to see some blood values? I'm sure he's sick and all, but the amount of BS seen in press releases during the years kills all credibility.

Still he's out, and it's related to his immune system, I hope it's what they say. Should be good enough for me...

I agree, but the press release was aimed to us?

I'm not trying to suggest James is a doper. Here is just an explanation for a weakened immune system. You make your own decisions.

"There is some evidence that anabolic steroid abuse may affect the immune system, leading to a decreased effectiveness of the defense system."

Does anyone know what was causing the Epstein Barr virus epidemic in mx the past few years?

Never mind.

I'm leaning towards an over protective Larry Brooks right now. His investment for another Supercross title is at risk. Maybe thats fair enough from his point of view and maybe I'm just pissed off coz me and two mates booked our flights and tickets months ago to fly from Perth to Brisbane just to see him race. Ill get over it I guess.

Oh boy, I thought the whole deal with him taking off outdoors was so he would be in the best of shape for SX and possibly prolong his career. HHHHMMMMMMMM

Forget SX and MX he is going to do one or two fan days a year, no racing, just be happy you get to see him ride. Smile He will make it up to you Ausies by doing a fan appreciation day soon!

Hey man, it sounds like you're insinuating performance enhancing drug use. That's not cool.

MX athletes are some of the toughest in the world. This isn't baseball or football, it's "moto", all for one and one for all!

Look stomach issues are serious! I had stomach issues for the last couple of days and I could hardly get up to get another beer! Sad and even had to stop for one full day! Serious stuff right there

This problem is not just in dirt cycles>look what happened to Casey Stoner.
They couldn't work out what it was,but a good period of rest seemed to get him back to full strength. These guys need to be at 100% to do what they do.
In the overall scheme of things like the Aussie SX one of race don't really mean too much.Add to the fact that if he wasn't up to speed when he got here Chad might of beat him it's really a no brainer.

I'm pretty annoyed not to see stewart ride, but it's only like a 1 hour drive. Shame for all you guys flying from Perth but it'll still be an awesome show. Hope he comes back next year for it, and hope to see him well come A1.

I wonder how it's comparing to Reed's illness, none of us will ever know...
