Nobody is stopping Hunter from winning this title except himself if he gets hurt. The guy is so consistent. With that said, there are a couple of riders capable of winning races but all of them have flaws that will keep them from winning the title. So i think the racing in the 250 class will be very good all season long!

RJ is clearly fast enough at times, but we saw what happened in the second moto. 3 crashes and P11. Things like that keeps happening to RJ, that wasn't the last time this summer.
Cooper should have the speed to challenge and beat Hunter but he was off the pace at Pala.

Shimoda has the speed just like RJ but seems to lack "killer instinct" or whatever we can call it. He should've beaten Hunter in the first moto.

Vohland was fast here but this is basically his home track, we need to see more.

Deegan is too early in his career to challenge Hunter.

Vialle is completely new to US racing, this is a learning year.

I think it's Hunters championship to lose. We're in one of those seasons where the champs are predictable in the 250 class. Everyone looked great, some looked like themselves (RJ). But I think Pala is a tough gauge of how the season will go.

Theres a plethora of guys who can finish anywhere from 1-12, but I do think Hunter will be the most consistent guy and the those guys behind him will have some “1-11” type of rides like we saw today from RJ and Vohland.  They will all be taking points off each other while Hunter is consistently on the box.

Up vote for using 'plethora' and favouring Hunter.

He is hurt and still won. Tore his rib cartilage from a big get off Monday. Said he only did 3 laps on press day and had to pull off.

If someones favorite rider is winning. There shdnt be a age limit, but if he is getting beat.   Time to move up sandbagger lol.   Double standards., When anstie stayed it wasnt a big deal.jmart stays people say move up.  .Cant pick and choose.  Its a pro class ,who cares.  Some prefer different sizes to race.

There are ALOT of very fast riders in the 250 class.

More than ten guys can win (a) moto(s).

As the tracks get tougher, Vialle will likely rise to the top and will possibly win the championship.

96, 30, 128, 24, 34, 238, 32, 43, 6, 75, 31, 36, 38 and 55. Forkner will be on the gas by the end of the season.

The 450 class is gonna be a sleeper. Jett isn't going to win 22 motos, but he likely will win the supermotocross championship, even if he doesn't have any 450 SX points under his belt to help with the ranking.

Hampshire, cooper, can be just as fast every week.  But they either don't start well or cash a bunch also.  Hunter will likely win going away.

Cooper doesn't start well ? . First time I've ever seen him get two bad Starts on the same day .he is a great starter 95% of the time .

Don’t know about Hunter but We need an over:under on Jett going 24 straight and how money times 2 bros will win on the same day and make ama history each time. 450 SX/MX is going to be boring like The McGrath Era… shit 250s too until Hunter moved up, but I don’t think he eats enough donuts to best  his little bro.
I think the 450 podium will be the same all year barring injury of if Jason or Justin can come back firing straight off rehab. Have to wait for AC to get some more confidence and race himself into a little better shape
