I am always on a recovery ride........
I had a Roger Decoster signature mongoose in the 70s...
As I said above too. Jeffisy I can go on and on. On my decoy I can’t. I find I do better with out motor on but very hard to control for me when on even in eco mode.
If I wasn’t 53 and only riding once a month or so, I’m assuming I could get it down, but still fun as hell. I do find my codes on my decoy more on/off than my guilds on my Jeffisy and I use my brakes so much for the balance point. I bought some Hayes brakes but yet to get around to putting them on.
My theory most bikes are not much difference.
Company has their own frame and that’s all they make. Everything else on bike is another company’s components package you go with low end or high end. And who’s motor they use.
Components- Sram or shimano.
Suspension- Fox or rockshox.
Motor- depends on who’s motor they pick to design frame around.
I bought my 2022 YT decoy mx 4 (there top of the line bike) at peak time and was $8000 and then being an ex dirt bike/road racer I had to buy more stuff for it, just for fun not because I needed it it.🤷♂️
I really think MTB bikes are way overpriced compared to a motorcycle when you factor in all the parts that go into them. And they make a lot more off mtb’s the dirt bikes I think. My bike was on sale for $5000 a few months ago and you know they were still making money so…
