Way south , about 15 miles south of Effingham. Pretty easy to get to as several Interstates go through Effingham.

Track is light clay and will turn super hard packed as the races go on.

They do have good pits , lots of flat grass parking. And they even have like 4 showers.

Thanks. Looks like 8 hrs for me by the time I snake down to I-70, then east.

"Track is light clay and will turn super hard packed as the races go on." My least favorite...hahaha!

I figured that was coming! Glen Helen track has not been a good layout at all for the Regionals the past few years. But since DC was visiting Pala Raceway a couple weeks ago I thought Pala would get the Regional. Perhaps there's more in the works regarding Pala.....The Indian's have $$ and a casino and hotel right by the track....

Hmmm, I thought Beasley was getting it back at Budds? No even an Area qualifier?

I wonder if Comp Edge will run a 3 moto format and or make sure the classes will have single gates?

Have they announced the areas yet? I didn't think so. Beasley should definitely get one. I am hoping Tomahawk also, since those are my main tracks.

I'm not really sure what they are doing with this format, Mid East and North Central youth on the same day also (the 2 closest in the mid west). The year Katie got 5th (at Loretta's) we had to go to Newcommerstown, OH to get in after the fiasco in Salem, IL. I guess only one bite at the apple unless you have unlimited resorces.

I've never seen a single gate for a race track, they usually have up to 40 gates. That would be hell for the racer that starts from the 40th gate drop! The racer from the 1st gate would be LOOONG GOOONE!

Budds Creek had a regional this year.
From the trend I noticed over the years (in the Northeast), once a track gets a regional, they can't have an area or regional qualifier the following year. But they can the year after that. Pleasure Valley got the youth regional for 2010 but didn't have any qualifiers this year. (But their last qualifier was a youth regional in 2007.)

It seems to follow that trend some what but Millville is having the Youth regional and they had the Amateur regional last year

Millville is like Glen Helen for the Southwest I guess with the regionals. I see it on the schedule almost every year the past 5-6 years.

But now Glen Helen doesn't have one........

Not yet.
I heard about the regional qualifiers like 2 weeks ago. Today was the 1st time I saw it posted on MX Sports.
As far areas go, I haven't heard a thing so I believe they'll be out pretty soon. Sometime before Dec. 1st I assume?

Maybe if they hold it on the pro track. U2 sucks; always rock-hard and dusty

the actual track is in the fucking boonies though, the road to the track really tests your vehicles suspension... I love the actual track, the layout, but every time I've been there but one, the track gets crazy dusty. I wouldn't say hardpack, just dusty. It gets rough and rutted very well, if they can keep it watered through the day the track should be epic. I'm going there this weekend.

With 2 50, a 65, a supermini class and the girls to run in the second set of motos (with plenty of day light left and a forcast for HEAVY RAIN) they ended the races for the day. Well the heavy rain came they had a riders meeting (complete with a state trooper) and informed us that the 3rd set of motos were canceled BUT the last 5 classes HAD TO RUN (I offered $100 to any "A" rider that could make it 1 lap without going down, no takers) they whipped the start to heavy goo, dropped the blade of the cat went around the corner into a whoop section to the finish line and announced ONE partial lap would determine if you made it to Lorettas. This "Race" lasted about 20 seconds, kids in the Supermini were "ghosting" their bikes across to get a better finish (it was later determined they were not sure of their scoring so this race was decided by ONE moto). All other classes were determined by their 2nd "Moto" sitting with a 3rd in the first moto we got the 3rd crappiest gate (Concrete start) and all she had to do was finish 9th or better and she was in. The girl 2 gates over from her (a Lorettas Qualifier from the previous year) lost it on the start took the girl next to her out who fell on Katie she got out but ended 10th (3-10) another girl got an 8-5 and another got an11-2 that was 5th (11-2) 6th (8-5) and 7th (Katie 3-10 the first non qualifier) but we had it better than a lot of kids, they just didn't make it and SHOULD have, it just cost me another $1000 and a trip to Ohio. That's why it's a bummer to have the 2 closest Regionals on the same day.
