TD ECU Map fc250 2023

I got Vortex Ecu tuned by Twisted Development, i got it installed and everything works fine. I am unsure if i have the 1 (best power map overall engaged). The instructions got me confused a little bit.

At the moment i run the handlebar map switch down (green light) and the X10 Position switch is set at 1 on the Ecu. Is this the correct way to engage the 1 (best power map)?

White button on your bar is always Map 1, no matter what I selected on box.

Green button is whatever you x10 is selected. Right now you have them both going to Map 1.

I suggest trying the -2 or -3 map for when it’s slick or want a little less “hit”. So if you have the x10 on map 3 or map 4. The green button would activate that, white button would activate map 1.

Thanks, its all clear now Smile

I guess i will leave it on the green map and remove the map switch from the handlebar.

How is more ignition advance going to be less hit and better for slick conditions?  I'd expect more hit and more wheelspin.

When you zoom in it shows that map 2-4 have less ignition timing.   -1degree on 2, -2 on 3, and -3 on 4.

I thought that was just a dash in the syntax.  Kinda confusing since they literally use the word advance.. lol

Yeah a bit confusing. But those maps are - minus timing off the main map.

I back and forth depending on conditions. But I suggest to do a few motos on map 1 then try 3 laps on each map and take notes. That’s they best way to get the bang for your buck. Jamie at TD does great stuff!

Good stuff.  So Map 1 and Map 6 are the same?

I like the idea of that launch mode disable map.  Would be nice if there was a map that disabled Quik-Shift after 3rd or 4th so it was only used on the start.

What's the "Power Map 2" like ?

Map 6 is a different version of a power map. Not the same.

Sorry if I am behind the times.  I thought I was told the 2023 ECUs were not programable.  Has someone cracked the code?

Have you guys been happy with your tuned Vortex ECUs?  Were you able to keep the TC and QS functions?

Thanks!

I just installed a vortex ecu on my '23 fc250.  Im confused about the handlebar map switch.

All four lights are lit and there doesn't seem to be any change when buttons are pushed.

Is that normal?

What year is the Vortex? Prior to ones built on November 1 will not allow the handle bar switch to be used per TD

Awesome, I think I am going to run into that issue on my new 23.....I would imagine you can get the Vortex Switch and basically just get rid of the stock switch at that point, but let me know what you find out!
