How many of you would get one
To answer your question, I wouldn't get one. The big five bikes are so good, it would be almost impossible to throw your hat in the ring with them now.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
The Fatboy 450f and the Sportster 250F(for chicks only because real men only ride the big bike)
Every magazine ad would over use "™". You would walk into the showroom and the coolest guy you've ever met would soon be your best buddy and urging you to join in the next ride. There would be overpriced apparel and an annual get together of the owners where bare breasted girls would ride on the back of old bearded guys' bikes.
"Dirt Rod™ ... When a man has whoops to conquer and berms to rail, he needs a legend, a Metal Masterpiece™"
Here ya go, a Harley powered airplane.

Its a big assumption but IF they made it happen and the bike was good, what would stopo any of you from buying one?
But my answer is the same. It's about branding and what harley is and stands for isn't the same as let's say Yamaha or Kawasaki. That would be a big challange to overcome even if they had a good bike.
I picture the harley mxer of a dude with long hair, bad tatoos and a topless (toothless) chick on the back rolling the doubles ...

I 'spose the question I'd be most interested to find out was where the engine and chassis were going to be manufactured.
then they only allow v-twins and specifc bore and stroke.
and yep david they must have a corner on that market LOL. Of course oil prices would go up even more....
