Just imagine how bad the chemical burns would have been had their been less pollen in the air to absorb the toxic vapors.

Was mentioned on SML podcast also.  Anton said he felt really bad.

Their lawyers are looking at everything to make sure they don’t shoot themselves in the foot in any response.

I was there and felt pretty bad from the moment I got into the stadium for Q1 in the 450s.

Spent a little bit in the pits before that feeling alright until the moment I went into the stadium, I felt pretty naughty and even saw Decoster also landing on his face by himself, bleeding from his forehead walking into the stadium so I don't know what was going on but it must have been something pretty strong

I was at the Glendale race but didn't suffer any unusual symptoms. I'm also a native Arizonan and have the "usual" allergies. I noticed the smoke from the pre-race pyrotechnics lingered all night and also noticed the roof was only opened a small gap which I didn't understand why. We were in a loft so maybe the ventilation there kept it out for the most part. Anyway, I see this morning our area (just north of Tucson) is under a PM10 air alert. I did some checking on what that is and found this:

https://azdeq.gov/particulate-matter-pm10-and-pm25-pollution

Spring in AZ is usually rough on allergies, especially after the amount of rain we've had. I've never noticed the "PM10" thing before. I'm guessing the high particulate exposure we're experiencing along with the fireworks smoke, bike and equipment exhaust and dust amplified the effects on a lot of folks systems.

Who knows if opening the roof more would've helped or hurt the situation but more ventilation couldn't hurt. I hope everyone has recovered. Not what you need to experience by going to a SX race, for sure.

I’m allergic to various tree pollen and one of those “various” is in the Glendale area or it’s pollen blows into the area seasonally.

I’ve had a few serious “red eye” days in that area since the mid-80s when I started working there for flight test/operational dev. The weird thing is that I can go just a little south of there to Gila Bend and I’m a lot better. Like I said…weird. There have been times when we’ve staged out of Gila-Remote just because these conditions were better for some of us.

I don't have any plant allergies except for poison ivey that I know of.

I had minor eye irritation and voice issues.

I  live in shitty air a lot of the time. This was clearly different.

Oh look, an industry bro here to defend the powers that be. How many attendees you think are going to pass on Glendale next year, or forever? I sure as hell know I'm never getting near that stadium if nobody acknowledges the problem and shows a sincere effort to correct it for future events. Ignoring the issue makes it worse.

Why do you even post here? all you do is bitch and complain about everything, guys like you are why the sport goes backwards at times, bottom line is no one needs you around as you offer nothing to this website or the sport so go someplace else to be a dick. You didn't even go to the race so why do you even think you even need to comment? we get it, you hate racing but guess what, no one needs you around. And what were your last user names? guys like you come in and get banned and then come back under a different user name every few months.

Thank you for contacting us Feld Entertainment, Inc.!

We're thrilled to have you in our audience, however, we are disappointed to hear about your negative experience.

I got a similar email, although mine had a little more detail which I can’t share yet as there is personal info involved.  I actually called and talked to someone after I sent my customer service email.

So, it sounds like they are well aware of the problem and are in the process of addressing it with the venue.  I’ll follow up with any updates if/when I can.

I'll only bitch and complain about stuff that is deserving of it. I also bitch and complain because I LOVE racing. This website and industry is full of bro club manginas that think it's perfectly fine to just sweep everything under the rug and move on. How is that helping motocross grow and better itself? It's doing exactly the opposite.

I've already said I wasn't there and am very glad that was the case. I would have been livid if this happened to my family.

I'm not looking to sue anyone. I'm looking for guilty parties to acknowledge the issues, take responsibility, fix them and better the sport. Instead I get insulted by Feld employees insisting you all just had bad allergies.

I don't know why you are so triggered. Sometimes in life and business, people need to be called out. Way too much tiptoeing around relevant issues that need to be addressed. That's how we, and the industry, better ourselves. When we sweep shit under the rug, nothing changes.

I do love all things moto and racing, that's why I'm pissed. Shit has been going downhill for a long time and so many seem to not even want to talk about it.

WHOA, Hold up there dude... You don't know what you're talking about, or you don't have all the facts!

Yes, DeCoster had a spill & was busted up a little bit... This is something I saw just after the incident. A very drunken "fan" (hopefully it wasn't you!) ran up to Roger to get a photo, and basically toppled him to the ground!!! Freaking moron!!!!  I had friends nearby that truly wanted to beat this guys as$ !!!

So, no, Roger's condition was NOT  whatever is going on within this thread!

I was there with a group of 6. Spent time in my buddies company's suite and also wandering to different sections of the stadium with my son like we always do. No one in our party had any type of the symptoms you guys listed. Sadly we will wish we still had this problem in 5 or so years when electric bikes take over. On the plus side their will be tons of open seating in the stadiums for those that wish to attend.

I got an email back from Feld. I'll take some screenshots after the race.

Oddly enough, it seemed genuine. Sounds like they're aware and working with the venue to figure out what happened.

people like to say "o first world problems", but the reason they're first world problems is because "we" sweat the small stuff. details matter. people that dont care about the little stuff dont care. there's a reason oakland & Sf have more trash everywhere than tokyo.
