I’ve always thought that would be cool, probably be even better for an smx race though

April 22 is the danger ranger race there put on by YouTuber Cleetus McFarland. It is in dirt as well. So I’m guessing the dirt will be there until after that.

Definitely enough dirt to build a sx. I would guess it is 4 or 5 times the yardage of a sx race build because they have to put it pretty thick to keep it from shifting or chunking out.

Would be an interesting place have a smx round, and could be a substitute for a southeast national mx.

It would take some tricky camera work to keep the place from looking empty. It seats about twice the capacity of the largest ball stadium of the current schedule.

Would be cool if they just did a $20 GA ticket and filled that place up.

Hillbilly's family and friends and word of mouth could probably fill one section.

Pretty established amateur base in the area so an amateur day would rock pretty good.

Hey joe,how are ya

Be cool to leave turns 1&2 to run thru each lap, get to use 5 th gear.

they have started replacing seats with different colored backs at nascar tracks so you can’t tell if it’s full or not. It works like really well. I didn’t pay attention last nite if Bristol has made that move yet.

dirt race may not be back next year , the poll on jayski this morning had 80 percent wanting concrete back

they run the late model dirt track cars there while dirt is down and they fuckin haul ass , that’s what nascar should do is put everyone in a true dirt track car

The Late Models round there were a bit of a bust TBH, it was just too wide open and the banking didnt make the racing better.

Awesome to watch, but wasnt the spectacle it was supposed to be.

And then running the NASCAR race with screens in was comedy gold when they did it last(?) year.

If they thought about it a bit more, they could have run the Danger Ranger , and then used the dirt for the SX event .

I watched the stream when they did it and its a lot of dirt, more than enough to build an SX track in the centre.

Hell, run a  Super TT there too.

That said , is Bristol going to be a pull for the SX crowd.

They still have at least one more weekend of racing before the dirt come out. Also, the straights are banked so much that you couldn't build a track on it. If you move it all to the infield, it is too far away from the stands.

They had the infield set up to switch to a college football field for awhile but I don't know if they are doing that anymore. I've tried to tell the fan council they need to get closer with Supercross

Bristol is the last great coliseum. I enjoyed the night race there. I think they may do world of outlaws there while the dirts down as well. Either way, would love to see bikes in the there. I would go for sure

WoO ran there on dirt the past couple of years, but it wasn't a great show. Too much dust and the the races were pretty much one line with little passing. They aren't going back to Bristol this year.
