Actually it's not "bingo", because they're getting paid exactly what the market is demanding.  Just because a politician decided that minimum wage is $7/hr doesn't mean that's what people have to make, it's a free market out there and right now lower wage workers are in demand and getting paid accordingly (aka wages are just starting to regain some traction after decades of falling behind asset prices).  You guys can scream about how "unfair" it is all you want but that's reality, you're more than welcome to take that job and demand a lower salary to try to drive the average down if you're so inclined. . .

Do you not see the irony (or at least the hypocrisy) of telling someone not to complain about the prices at an event and insinuating that they spend their remaining money frivolously, and then in the next breath complaining that someone is paid more than you think they should be?  It's either a free market or it isn't you can't have it both ways.

Just explaining another reason why stuff is so expensive.

Went to a restaraunt by Lumen Field, Jimmy's, and had a spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was rather delicious.  Which moves me to my next point.  I'm really glad I ate before I went into the stadium because prices for food and drink seemed liked legalized thievery to me.  

I did buy two of the lemon flavored alcohol beverages which were 24 oz and a bag of popcorn.  The total came up to over $45 dollars, which is ridiculous.  I would have sent the items back, but they open the cans as soon as they set them on the counter and I assume this is done so you can't tell them to put them back.  Never again though.

I can't complain too much though because the racing was great.  Crowd favorites were pretty obvious: Jett, Eli, and Levi Kitchen and Sexton.  The track was really cool and I loved the rhythm sections and seeing how the riders were going to triple or double them. Opening ceremonies was great and the fireworks cool.  I did leave my seat and when I came back and dad and young son were in my seats.  I didn't want to say anything to the dad in front of his son so I found some seats (with cushions) in a corridor area so I just enjoyed the racing from there.

Overall, great experience and there is nothing like seeing these talented riders up close and real on the track.  However,  $73.00 for parking and $45 for two drinks and a popcorn has made me realize I'm probably going to enjoy the experience just as much from a couch, a few beers, a big tv and the comforts of home.  I must be getting old.

Thank you.  This is my point.  Between fight traffic there and back, paying too much for parking and a couple of drinks, I'm content to stay home.  As much as I like seeing these riders up close because nothing really compares to that, I guess I must just be getting old.  

Not trying to take away from anyone who doesn't mind paying those prices and enjoying the experience themselves.  In fact, I recommend going to race if you never have.
