Vital: facts don't matter just the opportunity to be holier than thou.

This is all taken out of context. You have literally quoting something that didn't exist. Let me try to help you.

OP wrote: "Id rather not buy the cheap seats". "hate and "actually sit in them" weren't part of the statement.

What the OP was saying is that he would prefer not to buy tickets FOR A SECOND TIME that were in the cheap seats, which I would chalk up to not having the money to pay for the expensive ones FOR A SECOND TIME due to scammers. I empathize with that deeply, and apparently so does Feld.

There is probably some opportunity for a stadium to monetize 'dynamic seats' because as C.worthy points out, this is normal practice at the races. IMO, it actually makes them way less boring.

I'm not gonna take the time to go find it but OP has 100% posted several times wondering if he could get away with buying cheaper tickets and then moving to better seats.

This tells you all you need to know.  "I'd hate to buy seats in the sky and actually sit up there".  No doubt this guy went on marketplace or some swap meet and used Venmo to pay a guy $20 for $100 tickets and the seller turned out to be bogus.....then comes here to complain and gets rewarded with free tickets.

ML, it was super cool what you did but this guy is way off.

But again vital delivers and proves me wrong.

Continue with the holier than thou. Not sure who, but maybe, maybe someone out there appreciates it.

I’m going to unsubscribe from notifications, so don’t invest any more time in trying to prove how right you are because I don’t really care. 🙂

I have a “holier than thou” attitude because I don’t think you should expect seats you don’t pay for?

You made your accusation against me.. I was just showing you why I said what I said. That’s all. Don’t take this forum so serious.

My theory by following his comment history is that he bought the cheapest tickets and found out by posting on here that they supposedly check your tickets so you can’t go find better seats down below and he didn’t want to buy more tickets. He says he could afford to buy the cheap seats but doesn’t want that experience, which implies he really only wants to have nicer/more expensive seats.

Maybe I’m just being to cynical, though. Weird that he’s gone ghost since. Mav’s first reply to this thread was exactly what I was going to do. Try to get more details out of the supposed scam to try and poke holes without specifically calling him out. Grinning

It's ok to get better seats than you paid for because Ticketmaster is a giant faceless corporation.

Edit: I have no idea if he scammed or not, I just love that Simpsons clip and had to post it.

There's a lot of projection in this thread.

I’m needing 4 tickets to Seattle if anyone happens to have any. Just got completely scammed. It’s never happened to me before but this worthless POS got me. Pretty devastating.
So If anyone ends up not being able to go I would certainly take them off your hands. There’s no way I could tell my little guy we’re not going now to his first SX, it’s all he’s been talking about for months.

Id rather not buy the cheap seats as someone just told me last year there were employees standing at the entrances of all the bays, Checking your tickets, making sure you sit where you’re suppose to.
We’d be forced to watch the race from the moon, way up at the top ugh

Please shoot me an email if so, Thank you

How do u get scammed on tickets? Is the place sold out ? Ticketmaster don’t have any?

Hindsight is 20/20. Total bonehead move on my part. Someone was selling some on CL and already had skeptical hippo eyes as the person was being quick and straight to the point with every response. He sent me screen shots of the tickets. Once he said his only means of transferring $ was through Zelle I thought that wasn’t right and I told him that. He “assured” me they’re legit and I must have been having an off morning and just went with it. - this was before I knew there wasn’t any kind of protection though Zelle, I’ve hardly used it.

we would not have gone if it wasn’t for ML. Seats were sick. Weather could have been so much worse. I really wish they would open the pits up on the privateer side as so many fans would spill on to that side. Couldn’t believe how packed it was in front of Tomacs Semi.
