I’m done with Rocky Mountain. I like to support Keefer and use his link, but I just can’t order from them anymore.

I have issues with almost half my orders from them. From shipping issues, to defective items, and a lot of stuff I admit is partly or fully out of their control, however it JUST KEEPS HAPPENING.

The main reason I’m done with them, is when problems do arise, the customer service agents are very rude. That’s just a no-no for me. They always have this rude tone after asking simple questions about the procedure of dealing with the specific problem, and it just seems like my issue goes on their backburner for a week. They never call back on when they say they will, and it simply takes too long for issues to be resolved compared to other businesses. Among other things.

I rarely have problems with motosport, and when I do they are minimal issues like a pre-oiled air filter came with weak sauce pre oiling. Something like that. With motosport I feel like I’m in total control when an issue does happen too. It feels like they will go out of their way to make it right for the customer very quickly.

idk...I feel like if your contacting motosport bc your pre oiled fitler doesn't have enough oil on it..might need to re-evaluate your expectations lol. Just throw a little more oil on it? Also motosport or RM has nothing to do w/ that lol.

I didn’t mean to complain about that. I even said it was a minimal issue, just brought it up to represent the sort of type of issues i’ve only ever had with motosport, after many more orders with them than Rocky Mountain. That’s not the type of issues I have with RM, I wrote out the issues I do have with shipping and actual defective products. I can write out more, spell everything out for you, if you wanna read an essay.

I haven’t had an issue with Motosport in a long time, and last I remembered was a minor air filter issues. In the situation with not enough oil on filter, I ordered a bunch and they all came with weak oil. When it turns into a $20 bottle of oil on my dime after spending more $ for pre oiled, it become a minor issue for me.  It was so minor, but motosport was super helpful and literally sent me free filters.

Did I not make myself clear enough? Maybe I should type out a long essay explaining everything for you??

I clearly stated the reason I’m done was the rude customer service and longer than expected problem resolving times. I feel like you didn’t read or didn’t comprehend what I typed above.

I think everyone is confusing the shitty shipping companies with the company selling the product...

I've only had 1 mixup with RMATV (who i use the most) and never with motosport or BTO for that mater.  I've had shipping issues with all 3.  I've also found that how bad the shipping experience is largely depends on where you live.

I"m guessing OP just happened to get in touch with a worker with a shitty attitude.  They have those everywhere.

Side Note:

I once called BTO looking for a set of gear for my son (wanted to confirm they had it before ordering).  I couldn't find anyone with it in stock.  After talking to the dude at BTO he said he would give me a call back in a bit.  That dude found some random ass dealership up in the NE that actually had it.  He called me, gave me the name and number  of who to call and they were expecting me.  Dude got absolutely nothing out of doing that. There are a handful of awesome people  out there that take pride in their work and a whole bunch of shitty ones.

Old thread?

I've never had an issue with RMATV.   Solid customer service in my book.

Motosport FTW Smile I use both though. Tusk tools are priced just right and alot of the tusk parts are honestly really good. They get alot of my business based on that.

I know. Maybe you could post something on Vital and whine about it to the masses - that might make you feel better. Vitards……they never disappoint - even at 6am on the shitter 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥳

I use RMATV for most of my purchases of OEM parts and accessories. The shipping has slowed down some, but never had a problem with returns or other issues. Tusk products are very good for the money and some are superior to higher priced items (tools for example). I used to get one day service from Ky and usually still do if they use FedEx. If they use USPS, it normally shows a label printed but not in their possession for a couple days. Overall they are my go to for parts with Motosport next.

Rmatv just refunded me money because something I bought went on sale.  Pretty crazy.  I didn't even know or care.  They did it all on their own.  Pretty cool

RM customer service is second to none from my experiences. However I used to be able to order something before 5PM Eastern and use the add liter of oil trick to get it the next day. It seems they have changed something and that only works about 1/2 the time. May be coincidence, may be a policy change. I don't know. I do have less faith getting my stuff quickly than I used to, but overall they are still a great option.

Isn’t that the point of a forum??

people complaining about other people complaining, or people complaining about others talking too much about gear… THAT IS WHAT A FORUM IS FOR!

Motosport is freaking great.   I'm an old timer (48) so i still remember the old days of filling out the form and mailing a check.   2-4 weeks later product would arrive.  If it was messed up from the manufacturer or there was a problem with the order......another 3-4 weeks to get it sorted.  We do expect a lot from vendors these days.   I would say that Motosport is one of the better vendors that i've used over the years in regards to buying anything.

I’ve had NO PROBLEM with RMATVMC, MotoSport, BTO…etc.

Now, some of the shipping co’s are less than stellar; but, I’ve learned that having things delivered to my Redding address means it gets delivered by a better shipper than I get in Dana Point.

Another thing, I’ve had great luck with dealers matching or beating on-line princes.

Lately my problem with RMATV is that they give you an estimated arrival date thats usually next day from the Kentucky warehouse, then it takes two days to even ship, the response for the customer service agent is well its free shipping that date is just an estimate. Okay well don't even put the arrival date on there if its never going to happen. Sometimes I may spring for the $50 next day shipping but not if it says free shipping will get it here just as fast.

before this year 90% of my orders were shipped same day and came next day, obviously I know thats super fast and not the usual. But when you bend a set of bars and need some in a couple days its nice to know if I need to plan to find some local or I can rely on RMATV to have their usual shipping speed.

Ill keep using them but ill just be weary if I need something in a hurry, Motosport is next day to me in NC as well most of the time.
