Got passed by craig on the last lap to finish 8th. He started in 9th and by the end only finished 1 position better because of sextons crash, so he technically made 0 passes. To go from dominating at daytona to farting around the next week is soo weird. If Webb wins it at the end it will be because of this race. Soo weird when he has these races and it seemed like these days were in the past since his move to yamaha. Crazy.
I think Tomac might be burnt out. He brings it when he is feeling it, but when he isn't he mails it in. That's a sign of burn out. I could see him winning 3 more races and also having 3 more wtf races. I think Webb feels like he just has to keep putting it on the podium.
Treacherous track and disastrous performance. He didn't crash, so at least he's in the top 66% of title contenders..
Hes had 2 bad rides like this so far, not including round 3 where he landed on a tough block. He better figure it out. Thats great he's winning a ton but starting to have deja vu to 2017.
Webb is in his head.

He looked really bad in the whoops.
It's like 2017-2019 all over again.
Eli is notorious for riding conservative when the dirt and track are unpredictable. He said tampa was like riding on peanut butter, so I can only imagine what he thought about riding on marshmallow tonight. If he gets a better start he probably ends up about fifth, but just one of those night's I think where he didn't want to risk it.
Webb had never been in his head. He isn’t fast enough to be in his head. I promise you he thinks about Sexton more than he does Webb.
I was watching his timing behind AC for 3/4 of the race going wtf when is Adam going to drop off and tomac pass him? Didn’t happen.
Isn't fast enough? Hes leading the series. What about that hott take of yours earlier?
Horrible ride but he started 11th.
Tomac went into protect mode tonight.
Look at what pushing it did to Sexton....
Webb went into protect mode towards the end as well.
Tomac will be back next week.
What's weird is Tomac was moving up at a pretty good clip in the first several minutes of the race. He started around 11th and moved up to 7th in just a couple laps, was right on Anderson and Plessinger's tail and just 7 seconds off of Roczen. Once he got stuck behind Ando for a couple laps, it's like he totally gave up.
Bad start. Sketchiest track of the year by far. Didn’t gain any ground, but also didn’t throw away the series. Only a fool would bet against him for the title.
....and here we have a perfect case of WDS....Webb Derangement Syndrome.
Denial is a bitch.
You got him good! Man, the 53rd time I saw you say 'Webb Derangement Sydrome' really made me respect the titular disease you have discovered. Keep up the good work fighting evil.
I was about to start a topic asking the same question...lucky I saw this one.
Tomac rode so shit tonight it makes me think that he may be suffering from a midweek injury. A normal Tomac can deliver a better finish even if the bike is a bit off.
Someone above mentioned burn out which may just be the closest reason for his half assed effort.
I'm rooting for Eli to get it done but I'm thinking the mental weight of carrying the red plate through 8 rounds and into round 9 caught up.
Going to be interesting to see what he can do at the next one.
Webb is the silent assassin who is the thorn in Eli's foot. He delivers when it counts.
Sexton can be relied on to make his customary mistake.
This has become a battle of two super powers.
Pit Row
Tomac was entering the whoops like he was rolling a sight lap. Set a bad example for the KTM juniors. Ruin an entire generation of riders. Like watching your dad get beat up
Webb is one of my favorites, I love how he's a 100% gamer no matter the conditions. I'm questioning your sanity because of you bringing up this same thing, week after week, year after year.
Its crazy because before tonight he had won 5 out of 8 races so you would’ve thought he would have a bigger points cushion. The problem is in his off days he had a 5th 6th and now an 8th in there other than his one 3rd. When he doesnt win he has a shitty finish.
His on days have been great, but you win championships on your off days, and he needs to start salvaging better finishes on his off days. He should not be out of the points lead now while having 5 wins and coming in to this race with a 5 point lead. Hopefully this is the last weirdo ride of the year because I really wanna see him go out on top in his last sx championship.
Sanity issues? That describes the people who constantly deny how good Webb is.
I suggest just passing over my posts in the future since you seem to have MDS...."Magoofan Derangement Syndrome".
lol
He just hasn't seemed like himself at so many races this year, even on some of the nights he won. It looks like they are struggling with setup to me, and it's blowing his arms up like the old days. Last year was a magical year for him in SX...he never seemed like "beast mode" Eli, but he also never was arm pump Eli. I think the new bike, especially on soft dirt, just isn't dialed yet.
I like your posts for the most part, you just use the 'WDS' crutch too much. From Webb's #1 fan, chill it out a little bit, lol.
Its a long season. He's had 2 bad races all year and is 1 point behind the leader. No major crashes. He goes conservative on sketchy tracks, he goes balls out on the good ones and wins. He's 1 race behind Stew's win total, which he will surpass this season. If I'm asked to lay down money on who takes the title, my money is on Eli.
...but the term fits perfectly with so many topics around here.

Remember the recent interview of Tomac where he announced he is racing Motocross? You could see it in his eyes and facial expression that he signed a fat deal. Tomac is motivated by money. Nothing at all wrong with that, but how his compensation is structured is key. It's a balancing act between guaranteed pay vs performance pay. I suspect it's too heavy on the former. Tomac is thinking about his oceanfront condo and certainly won't push himself over the redline.
Some days you the dog, some days you the hydrant. Tomac was the latter tonight.
His other personality showed up. Eli slowmac.
Super sketchy track, wasn't feeling it tonight. He'll be back. Sexton is the real enigma, even though we all expected him to crash I for one didn't expect him to get lapped even with a crash that appeared to be minor.
