Hey guys 

Does anyone know what modifications the teams did to their frames aside from WP guards and bash plate tabs?

Jeremy Mcgrath used 1993 frame geometry!

Dave Arnold had a jig for building frames, he tested different frame geometries and tube wall thicknesses...

 
 

AMA racing has a production rule which includes frames, material can be added but not removed, but the AMA never tested frame geometry, or material thicknesses, so HRC may have used hand built works prototypes.

6D3D88E3-83D6-4C83-8E62-9ABCF14A00F5Sand blast the frame, have a good welder chase/ reweld all cradle, engine mount, foot peg, suspension link mounts. Many of the welds are not completed, just stitched good enough for production strength. This is also when you want to repair any damaged threaded area”s on the frame or add threads for case guards ect.

Any 30+ year old frame will benefit from a good going over if you plan to really ride it…
