Because once you see the bikes out there you realize its nothing like SX. I mean who in their right mind would think that is a nice layout for a MX track let alone the MXoN?? Seriously, I cannot see how ANYONE would like that track.

Track doesn't look that bad, other than the complete lack of flow and dumb jumps. There is pretty much one way around the whole track so if you notice everyone pretty much just goes inside everywhere. That and what is with the super kicker lips on every jump? I though mx was about speed, they look like they barely get our of 3rd on that track.

One thing I did notice is how Europeans have finally learned how to ride like Americans! Can't tell any difference anymore between a euro and an american on the track.

Was there ever really any difference? Perhaps if you were comparing what you watched from the AMA to what you saw from GP's, it might have been the tracks (or even just the camera work!)

Because people were talking about it from the two small photos that they'd seen. It's usually better to wait and see what they're actually racing on.

looks like a track straight out of MX Unleashed or Untamed... should be some amazing racing later on.

Yeah people saw a picture with two tabletops and a few corners and decided that it looked like a supercross track.

The track is amazing though and the spectating view up by the huge tabletop is simply amazing. Can't wait until the first moto starts.

Yeah there used to be a big difference. Look how Ken DeDyker rides, that stiff upright style used to be the norm for European riders. Over the last few years the styles seem to be getting very similar. It wasn't a knock on them, just an observation.

When I saw the track pics a few weeks ago, I thought it was a SX track. Strange for this event.

I have seen the bike ride it and as a spectator I have not seen anything that looks remotely like I am used to seeing. Like errrr ... MX racing. POGO -CROSS indeed. It looks stoopid and there's no flow. Someone designed the track and messed up with the scale. 4 foot high rollers ended up 10 foot high. AAAARRRRGGGHHHH !!!!

That said, I am not a fan of the clinical SX stuff we get where all the bikes look the same as every section is jumped the same. Is it what it is, and we will face the flag like the rest of the world. I will be watching the trampoline contest, pogo-stickathon, Masai warrior tryouts with one eye closed. This is like freestyle MX, Hill climb and Mogul Skiing all rolled into one.

But it is what it is ....
