That track looks ridiculous. Not sure why they would build something so out of the ordinary like that for this race. It looks tiring with all those rollers/speed bumps they threw in there. Also, the bikes are noticeably quieter it seems than in the US.

2009 Mx des Nations featuring "pogo-cross".

Its like everyone is riding Goon Style.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but that is ridiculous for a MX track of this magnitude.

So what? Everyone has to race the same track.

I disagree with "wrote: That track looks ridiculous."

My impression is they built an even and mostly fair type of track. I think the racing will be good, whether the USA wins, or not.

I (mostly) retract my earlier opinions of having this event at what I figured would be a "sterile" motocross environment.

Can't wait until Sunday!

Just because everyone has to race the same track doesn't make it a good one. People bouncing from one face to another isn't what I think a MXON race should be. However, we did mainly see just one side of the track so maybe the rest is better. Just my opinion, not trying to start an argument.

Have you ever watched GP MX Deets? It is pretty common for the riders to have to "pogo" around the track. I like watching the riders have to deal with terrain that doesn't have a set landing ramp for every jump.

Yeah, I've watched them in person and on the webcasts but I wouldn't say most of them are this way. I was supposed to race a GP in Belgium in 02 or 03 but Reynard ended up getting the AMA federation spot so I would like to think I've seen one or two Wink

Only playing Deets.

I just don't think it is uncommon to see a GP track that doesn't have a standard place to set the wheels on the ground after ever jump/whoop/bump. Though I agree this track does look pretty extreme in that regard.

track designer(s) should be shot! A lot of air time which is cool though.

I am with everyone else, that track has no flow to it. It is disjointed and odd. The track is the same for everyone, I am just happy I dont have to ride it. Something different I guess, stamina will really be the key player.

Obviously many of us have forgotten what a real MX track looks like.

Many of us? Or just the folks who built the MXDN track?

Yeah, I'm not crazy about it either. Looks like it's hard to pass on which will make a good start really important. There seems to be a real lack of "flow" to the track. Maybe it will make for some close racing, I hope.

After watching some videos, I think the track does show a SX flair.

I would love to see the lines Stewart would carve on this track. I think his ability to scrub would probably be worth about 2 secs a lap on this course.

so... if stewart would be able to give 2 sec a lap to the riders in italy.. why reed or dungey or the others "sx specialist" arent the fastest?

Lots of ruts developed through the day and there are alot of different spots to pass. The USA riders made alot of passes and so did Wilson.

I second that.. I love the challenge gp tracks bring to the table. MX is'nt suposed to flow.
