Hi guys,
I’m building a 2001 Dixon Racing YZ125 replica (as close as I can) and was wondering if anybody had any good photos they can share and possibly some Dixon specific parts available please? I have some stuff already, and I’ve got a few more parts collected but I’m always keen to see what’s about. I’ve not posted before but I know the jist of the bike build section, so I’ll try and update as I go.
Cheers!

I'm about to get a 01 myself. Good luck with the build, should be sick.
Ah cool that'll be good. I may have a few bits knocking about once this is done so I'll keep my eye out and give you a shout if I think you may need anything!
Cool bikes , I ended up with one of Nichols Dixon yams …. Good luck with build will keep an eye on your updates
Ah mint! Cheers mate

Serious answer, give him a ring, you never know till you try
Ring who?
think the fella above mabey thinking steve dixon buddy? as im sure he would help you out with info, pics etc, i know he has helped guys out in the past
Ah yeah I’ve tried getting in contact with Steve but had no luck unfortunately. Will maybe try again! Had some people helping out with some photos and info so it’s not too bad. Be good to get in touch and see if he has any info!
cheers!
Yes Steve, surly there will be contract info for his race team? It is a business after all. Failing that try asking Lewis, he's in contact with him. Can never hurt to ask
I have sent an email to the race team email, it is Christmas after all so they’ll maybe not get checked just yet. Hopefully get a reply into the new year and go from there. Got a fair few people offering parts and advice though which is mega, nice one!
Was Carl Nunn on a Dixon Yamaha?
He was in 2000 yes
I loved his bike, in fact I remember having a poster of it next to my Baywatch Pamela 😂 Going to be a good build. Just make sure to post lots of photos 👍
Also loved the chesterfield yams that Alex Puzzar& believe Rob Herring rode too?
Haha that’s a good set up! Yeah they were cool bikes, will try and remember to keep up with the photos!
Can’t wait to see this come together those bikes were so trick!
I know him and his old head mechanic back in the day,I will contact them for you buddy remind me Monday and let me know what you want
Ah that would be mint mate cheers, will drop you a message!

I’m also looking for some lightspeed carbon upper fork guards, ideally in the UK or Europe as USA shipping is nuts at the moment! Universal sizes pretty much so new or good condition used would be ideal!
Slow updates sorry but making steady progress! I’ve collected a few more parts… Era correct Ohlins shock was pretty much new (don’t think it’s been used) so I’ve got that serviced at Kais with new seals and oil…
Got the matching era correct Ohlins forks which are used, so they’re off to Kais for a freshen up!
Onto brakes, Vital has delivered with a wavey Braking 260mm front rotor as per Dixon team bikes…
I’ve also found a PC 260mm bracket, and a Braking rotor for the spare wheels… I’ve since cleaned the rotor up to like new from this photo.
Next bit is my fave so far. Machined rear calliper (thanks @chuckdavies ) as team bikes. Ready for hard anodising!
I’ve got a couple of YRRD CDI’s to try. Not sure on fitment yet (also not had chance to try them) so if anybody is clued up with years and fitment a for YZ125’s any advice would be great!
I’ve got some dixon engine mounts which are pretty cool…
Along with the parts already on the bike, and a few other new bits like talon/excel wheels, V force reeds (it has Rinaldi reeds at the moment but with it being raced I’m going to try v force) and a cool rear brake pedal (awaiting that still!) it’s well on its way! Still looking for a matching wavey rear Braking rotor, been a struggle finding one!
Excited to see these finished up and fitted to the bike!
Few more bits to finish off, but happy with how it’s turned out! Seat cover is a work in progress so excuse the lining up for now. Gone for the British championship plain black number plates instead of the blue and white world championship plates for now.
So good i want one too!
Thanks mate!
cracking job you have done there buddy, looks trick,
Cheers Andrew
