After watching "Gran Torino" the other night, my oldest kid said "Dad, that's you in 20 years".
(referring to the grumpy old dude drinking beer on the porch, bitching about everything). My wife said "20 years? He's there!"

Booby M ...gets a pass for any racial epithets that may slip out
Those 3 at least in terms of message boardism, "bring something to the party" where many of us do not.

Nerd is the good guy, he is just misunderstood is all. His brain is way above average and loves to dink with science and logic. If you wanna rattle sabers with him you need to be on your A-game lest you get skewered. He doesnt pull punches. He's also half baked with the written word, so it can be hard to argue with someone online whos more adept at getting an idea from the noodle to text on a screen.

Nerd helped with me with some written press releases long before I ever met him in person and gave me advice on some matters when nobody else in MX/SX media would even reply to an email. I still owe him a beer or three for that.

Hell I even had a M1 Garand here at the house until recently when my kid donated it to the Corps of Cadets museum! That rifle shot great for iron sights !

Donated it?!?!
Well, that's admirable of him. They wouldn't be so lucky if it were up to me.

I found it funny during the movie when it went off in the garage. I had already told kyle what the rifle was, that it was the same caliber as the 742, and we both looked at each other when it went off.

My wife gets pissed when I pick apart accuracy or continuity in movies, and she could tell we were about to interrupt the film. She paused the DVD and said "What's wrong?" in that disgusted wife voice, and Kyle said "That sounded like a fire cracker popping, a 30.06 in there would have sounded like a cannon."

I was so proud, one day he'll make some poor woman as miserable as my wife.

Yep, donated it. They have an incredible military firearms collection there, but didnt have a M1, just one that was temporarily on-loan. One weekend he told me, "Dad my M1 stays in the gunsafe all the time and I only shoot it once or twice a year, if I donate it to the museum people will enjoy it every day from here on..." So he talked to that curator lady and donated it. (I havent told him but Im gonna get him a new one for the doing that)

Dave and I do not always see eye to eye, but he would at least be a fair MOD.

I am pretty sure he would at least give people warnings, and allow then to fix fucks ups, before he 86'd them.
