GP of Brazil.

1.) Anyone with money can make the main. No need to even qualify. Many amateur races in America are harder to qualify for than that race!

2.) A woman gets 20th one moto in "the Premier" class in the world. A woman who while is a great rider, would have a hell of the time getting top three or five in either the AMA or World women's championships.

Not raging on the series, but it really shows how MXA hit it on the head with how full of themselves the GP sanctioning body seems to be. Yes the talent at the top is fast, but after the top 10 or so look at how it dives. Sure you can argue that it was the last GP and the championship was decided or any other lame excuse, but she wouldn't have even come close to making the main at the last national. Congrats for the great ride though and scoring a point.

3.) Race coverage. Its cool that it is live, but that dumb braun commercial every five minutes that cut off the action completely is out of control.

The gap is closer than it has been in the past, but it is still pretty obvious what the premier series in world is.

Exactly, it's stupid to compare a GP in far away Brazil when comparing depth of talent.
Look at somewhere like Lommel or Leirop.
Half of the top twenty in AMA Motocross class would struggle to qualify there!

Wow that was a pointless thread. FYI only 15 MX2 riders and 16 MX1 riders from Europe went to brazil so they filled up the race with every Brazilian rider that was willing to go for it. Marianna Balbi would never qualify for a GP in Europe with all the usual rider. In normal circumstances only a few brazilian riders would have qualified.

It looked like the GP was a success. All the top riders were there, some locals got great exposure, 18000 tickets were sold, Cairoli was treated like a rock star. The track was super spectacular and I think the MXDN will be very similar and a frenchman won the MX2 Title!!!!

On another note Cairoli seems already on holiday and not ready for the MXDN. He already had surgery on his knee and had not been on the bike for two weeks and rode conservative. He said he'll stay longer on holiday in Brazil. Not the full on MXDN prep we were hoping...

Says the brainiac that could not find the little "X" in the top right corner of the ad, that closes the Braun Ad on the screen.

my point exactly. How is it the premier series if half the field doesn't show up to race one of the rounds?

Not that i really care, but when youthstream pukes that propaganda crap all over the place about how they are far and above the premier series then their series has a round like this it is pretty funny.

Dungey should of raced in the MX1 class in Brazil. How cool would that of been.....

Youthstream are a bunch of idiots, didn't they stop doing the Japan GP to lower the cost for riders who have to go with their own money ????

Now there's a GP in Brazil.....makes sense.

for sure youthstream is ignorant by traveling to brazil and not making sure all the teams are signed on to go but to spew all your america is #1 because of one weak field is kinda lame. the only thing america is #1 at is going into debt. and that stewart guy is pretty good at sxWink
