This Austin character seems make believe, somebody just messing around.

If it real he either needs to 1) get a job 2) get of the roids 3) get a life

I guarantee you James was doing that on a 50. He was beating kids on ktms with his pw.

Im 99% sure your kids wont make it. Let your kids be kids, dont be moto dad to the extreme. Otherwise your kids will likely hate it by the time they are 14 or 15.

Idgaf what you think about my kids "making it".  There is a 5% window to make money riding dirt bikes for a living if that is "making it" to you then i get why you would say that,

If making it is just becoming a professional Motocross Licsence holder, then i dont think that would be too hard to accompolish. You can do anything you want through hard work and setting your mind to it.

If my child wants to "Make it" then im sure that They could. Any child for that matter. It all depends on how bad They want it.

OP said in another thread that the grandparents have to be financially involved to help his kids chance their racing dreams.

Sorry to tell you, man. But real men don’t need their elderly parents to economically subsidize their families lifestyle.

Now if you’ll excuse me. I need to go mess with the wiring on my start button. It seems to be shorting out and my dad can’t give me money to buy a new switch.

Shit, sounds like you have a bit of a short circuit, Maybe You can take it in to your Local dealer, they might be able to help, where maybe you have some support throught them, like some sponsorship you know. Oh wait, Real men dont need sponsors or support, not even if it included coming from their childrens grandparents. Damn so much for supporting your grandchildrens dreams anymore, according to this short circuit thats crucial for being a fail of a parent...

OP has Talked about kickstarters Not beinngon kids bikes and the kids doing fine without them. But now it all makes sense, its cause OP was having the grandparents kick the bike for the kids.

We cant support violence here, We can however race mx, talk mx, and disagree and agree with each other, down vote and dismember ourselves, the only way we can setup this little race thing sandouchkey is by Racing KICKSTART only bikes, which ride you choosing?

I've been kick starting motorcycles since 1962.  Pretty sure I'll be alright for a few more years kicking and riding.

To be honest when i ride my KTM sometimes i reach for the kick lever and go, oh yea, i have this button thing....

Its not that i dont like the electric start, its just that id Rather have a kickstarter. Especially after doing top ends and stuff, i have to rotate the crank over by the flywheel nut on the ktms and you used to have to pull the ignition cover on the 450s to do so, in 23 they changed it thank god, but still, id just rather have a kick starter in my opinion.

A friend of mine just got done working on a kawasaki mx bike electric start and he said he had to tear into it cause the Starter clutch went out..... Whatever that means..

Justify everything in your head as much as you want, man. You need your parents to subsidize your adult lifestyle. That's the point.

You have two options to fund your kids racing beyond what they acquire sponsorships for. 1) Continue relying on your mommy and daddy to fund it for your kids. Or 2), (and I know this is an outside the box way of looking at things) you could do what real men actually do, which is sell some of your stuff and do less riding of your own to fund the difference.

You sound like the type of guy that talks a really big game, but drops the ball when the lights come on.

Number one: you know nothing about me

Number two: My mom passed away, a year ago.

Number three: The second reason above should be why you dont talk shit on someone you dont know.

Number Four: any body that knows me knows that i put off everything i ever wanted for my children, i saw that it was needed and so i did.

You not knowing FACTS, and then making assumptions is what henders your ability when "The Light Comes On".

As far as my childrens "racing" goes its up to me and my spouse to figure out how we financially and if we Financially can support it, and if we cant, then thats on us. It has nothing to do with YOU.

This place is not short on dim bulbs. Actually they are the shortest on gray matter of any forum I have been a member of in over 20 years (I guess that does not say great things about our sport). Arguing with them is like doing a 2 hour moto. I got 20 bucks that say you win the race. Any takers?

Sorry for your loss, man. I truly am.

But let’s not beat around the bush here. You made mention on another thread this week of how it requires grandparents involvement to fund your kids racing. Then yesterday you started this thread talking about how real men would view those of us complaining about using kickstarters. I made a post (half joking/half serious), you responded with certain justifications, and I gave my opinion on the matter.

You don’t get to start these threads attempting to be boastful and to pontificate, then get upset when someone calls you out.

You’re right. I don’t know you. For all I know you may the coolest guy around. But I’ve gathered enough info from your posts these past couple of days to hypothesize that you receive economic assistance to fund your kids racing, but from the pictures in this thread above, you have enough coin to fund your own riding and racing. If I’m wrong or misread, then I apologize. That’s no skin off your back.

I’ll leave it at that.

The Coin or the Investment, or the Funds to support my childrens Hobbys has nothing to do with YOU.

so why are you worried about it.

I didnt say It REQUIRED the grandparents to let them ride/race. i just said they help.... With the cost, with the demands that racing requires. My children are excited that their grandparents have involvement in the Racing and Riding just as any child would be happy to see their grandparents show up or attend a basket ball game or a soccor game or a football game or if those grandparents got them a new basketball shoe or soccer goal. Just whatever the case may be... Its called Family. Being there for your family. You must have read the posts that i posted all wrong or i must have stated it wrong, my spouse and i do the best we can to support them riding/racing, if we come up short thats on us..

like i have stated in the posts above this is about kickstarters and mechanism used to kick the bike over, and its topic vs the electric start on the bikes. If you personally have an issue with me your more than welcome to message me on here or facebook and Go off on your rants there. Thanks.

No I don’t have any personal issue with you, dude. I probably went overboard with the harshness. For that I apologize. I guess I just took the banter to another level.

We have a difference of opinion on certain things, but like you said, it doesn’t impact me. Not my monkeys not my circus. It sounds like you’re a really involved dad. Tip of the hat to you on that.

I hope the OP doesn't spend so much on racing that he has nothing left over to pay for the therapy he so obviously needs.
