It won't happen I'd rather see a drop in displacement of the 450's to bring the HP numbers in line than have them ride with the 250f's.
Can you imagine a rider that just jumped into the pro ranks starting out on a 250 two stroke?
Im all for bringing them back though as I am selling all of my 4 strokes to start smoking again but the logic about where to place them is flawed

Comparing today's factory 250F with a 250T would have them much, much closer than a 2-stroke fan like myself would like. A much broader, longer powerband that hooks up better will more than offset the peak HP difference on tracks that aren't tacky.
In addition to cutting down on noise and cost, adding 250T to the 250 class will have the potential of increasing the number of different winners over the course of a season. IE- slippery courses will favor the thumpers, HP courses will favor the pingers. A broader range of winners makes for a more exciting season- this year has been proof of that.
I may have overstepped my bounds when I said everyone but a vast majority that cannot afford to build 1 hour timebombs they will waver over to the 2 stroke and again you'll get protests from the OEM's and teams that don't make one anymore.
JLaw proved it in that transworld video where they tested an outdated by todays standards 09 YZ250 to a 09 YZ250f and gained 3-4 seconds a lap on a relatively tight course thats hard to do. I still stand by my thoughts that displacement on 450's should be lowered to match 250 two strokes ....Yes Newman it is a dam shame the 125's got clipped, why not let em run 150's or 175's? Fresh 16 year old pro's do not need to start a career on a 250 two stroke and 10 years ago I'm sure you'd all agree.
As far as production bikes , the RMZ suspension blows away the RM250. It's five years of development ahead, and it shows. But if you have a pro rider and a well set-up two stroke you will have some fast lap times.
