If I'm a Rep Party strategist guy, I'd have a little talk with Trump, cut him a deal as border czar or something secretary of state better yet White House Press Secretary, If he steps aside at the last minute, Health reasons, golf ,whatever. I let Trump go all Trump, let the DNC spend all their time trying to get rid of the guy, while I secretly work on securing the house and the senate, At the last minute Trump bows out and quietly endorses Desantis. I doubt that happens, but it is something to think about.
I really don't see that happening, Trump will most likely run, win or lose, and perhaps the red team will take over the senate and keep the house in 2024. Won't really matter, Corruption in the Government appears so rampant, I doubt it really makes any difference.
