Why does 338 go out in practice but not race?

I know everyone is sick of talking about JLaw but why does he do this? Is it just so that he gets paid from his sponsors or something?? I'm not trying to "stir the pot" but he looked good in practice at the Wick and could of had real good results...IMO.
Just a bit frustrating coming from a fans point of view.

He was 35th fastest in practice at Southwick . Maybe he doesn't like getting lapped .

That's a whole lot of expense getting his whole program from race to race, only to not participate. And his money had just about ran out on the Daytona podium from what I recall. Maybe this next race will provide another miraculous result and he can use the money line again. Where was his mechanic and his pitboard while he took the off track excursion a few weeks back?

He looked like ASS in that practice. He said he didn't race because he thought the track sucked, and that's pretty much a direct quote.

And I am/was a fan.

He's freakin' J-Law!! He doesn't have to race, he does what he wants, he's a rockstar, he doesn't need to race. Sorry he let you down,but you should root for a more dependable rider...

Kardy, I guess the two corners I was watching from was his best section of the track. lol

Whatever, at this point I don't expect much out of his moto career. Again, I was just curious why he doesn't always race. I guess the answer is simple, because he doesn't have to.

Now if you said take a spot away from a rider that could and would use the opportunity
