I remember going to Dade with Pocorroba and he got smoked. Then at the Jax AX the following weekend, he ran up front and some of the locals didn't even make the main.

also at Lake Geneva in Wisco once, Demuth, Willoh and Ryan Clark came and got beat by some locals who they smoked at Lake County Fair the night before.

It's a local track, get over it. Ricky rips..period.

I'm pretty sure that I have more dade city wins in the last year than all those guys combined, the ting is that I don't belong at dade city, I'm there because i was hurt for 6 months came back for about a month and a half and was out again with a back injury. I don't put anything into results at dcmx, look at guys like Georke, he got 2 a few months ago to Tyler Livesay. Tyler went to Millville and failed to make the show. Tyler is an great rider locally and could make the show if he got a few more chances but thats a perfect example of how ridiculous the racing can be there.

But as for southwick, I had a great time there even though it was freezing cold (60 degrees but remember its august and im from FL) and rainy. I drove my pick up truck with my buddy Cody Gitzen as my co-pilot and headed for Budds Creek. The weekend before I left I had a few complications and ended up parting ways with Fun Bike Center Motorsports and pick up my old Honda 450 and hit the road. Got there to find out that I was an alternate and didn't even get to ride. Hit some hotels and rode some during the week and showed up to southwick. The Guys at the Wonder Warthog pit let me crash under the tent with them and that made things nice having an awning and a pressure washer. With the sand being super thick from all the rain I had a few troubles with the trusty steed overheating but she managed to pull though both motos. I ended up with 11-12 for a 10 overall. Best outdoor finish I've ever had and with all that I had to overcome to get there, I earned it

Thanks for the support everyone,
DAD, MOM, Both Brothers, Active Ride Suspension, PJ1, Troy Lee Designs, Engine Ice, Vortex, ICW, TCX Boots, Dunlop, and everyone else supporting me

Excellent second paragraph.....

Some things don't need to be addressed. We all know the score...at least the racers on here.

Dade City is a unique place, for many reasons
If you've never been there, you're talking out your ass.
RR came here to Chattanooga a few weeks back and was FAST!!! He borrowed a 250f and put it too some fast guys. Cameron stone did well at LL and RR beat him soundly!

Dade City has a Mystique all it's own. Tim Ferry has said he would not race there because the local guys have it dialed. It is a unique place and if you have not been there then YOU DON'T KNOW!

Are the kids at that track really that fast?
This thread is sad. If that were my kid and I read this thread, I would personally find you and kick your ass!

Not that I need to stick up for Ricky (Robby did a fine job... atta boy!) but i've been sitting here quite and wanted to make some comments. Dade City/ Randy Yoho, runs an excellent program. There is not one pro rider from Florida, that hasn't spent many laps on his track. Has Ricky been winning there lately no. Has he been pulling in the fastest lap times consitently.. yes. As Ricky said, he got hurt last October, and it's been a trying year for him. But this wasnt about how Ricky does at Dade City, It was about how he got 10th overall at Southwick!!!! Ricky has a determination that is awesome. He took his pickup truck, a 16 yr old friend (thanks cody for going) and a 2007 CRF450 Honda and went to race. With the cards stacked against him, he made the event, and placed in the top 10.... wow.... even if he wasnt my son, that is a great job. Ricky is on his way home, he wasn't able to stay for Steel City. Happy that the bike made 1 practice and 2 motos, he was sure it would make next week. He was not able to collect contingency money from Honda, so money was also a issue. When he gets home tho, he will know how proud his family is of him and for him. And if you don't like the fact that he didn't win Dade City a few weeks ago, keep it to yourself! For all the Ricky Renner fans on here... Thank you

I believe he isn't racing Steel City because he wasn't selected.

For the record Dave, I'm thinking the engine Ice is what saved the ole honda this weekend.
