Hey guys… trying to change my wheel bearings on my 21 yz450f. Front was a pain, but got it done. Wheel spacer was able to be moved aside and bearings were able to be popped out with a screwdriver and a mallet from the other side.

Rear however is not going so smoothly. Spacer is pretty tight, can only move with force. Tried pounding from the other side to no avail. Bought a bearing removal tool, jammed it into brake rotor side with only one bearing, yanked probably 20 times and the bearing didn’t move at all. Tried some heat, not a ton as I didn’t want to get the hub too hot… still nothing. Any words of advice?

Yes I did. Spent a good amount of time last night with the torch and slide hammer. Still no luck. Going to take it somewhere so it can be someone else’s headache.

Hondas have a thread ring with the seal in it to hold the bearing in place.
