Dean Wilson is one of the fast kids coming up. He won L.L. in the pro class and also the Canadian National.
Dean will not be racing the remaining rounds of the AMA series he is in the process of training for the Des Nations where he will represent Canada.
Good luck to Dean, good hard working athlete with a solid support group.

So Christian Craig makes his pro debut on a 450 at X games. Dean Wilson makes his pro debut representing Canada in Italy at the Des Nations. This year is pretty wild with debuts.

Dean Wilson has been the no.1 Amateur this year. After missing Mini O's due to a broken femur he turned up at Lake Whitney in march and has not stopped winning since. He has won 9 out of the last 10 championships including both titles at Loretta's and the AMA Horizon award. He also went 6 for 6 moto's at the first 3 rounds of the Canadian Nationals before heading down to Ponca city.

But still no ride due to late budgets this year.

He's Canada's one big chance at moto super-stardom. I wish him the best of luck at the Des Nations (where he'll be teaming up with Mitch Cooke and Tyler Medaglia) and in his future AMA racing career. He's one fast and very SMART rider for his young age!

Dean's got a ride-just holding out. Not the best year to hold out.

Maybe you should call Dean and tell him he has a ride he will be over the moon when he finds out.

Dean is not riding the last nationals due to a sponsorship conflict between the CANIDAE, Motosport.com Kawasaki pro team, and amateur team. The pro team wears Scott gear and the amateurs wear Thor. In order to ride the remaining nationals Dean or the team would have to pay for a completely separate program with a trailer, bike, mechanic, etc. It just was not in the budget. Team CANIDAE Motosport.com Kawasaki is very proud of Dean’s accomplishments and is working very hard to sign the young superstar to the pro CANIDAE team. He is also talking to Mitch over at PC and Roger at Suzuki. Only time will tell.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering why he could just step up to the Canidae pro team. Here's hoping the home town boy gets a good ride for next year. He is the best to come out of the great white north since Rollerball and an Albertan too.

Dean has a huge fan base in Canada so it made sence to ride for that country. If the U.K would have shown more interest he would have rode for them.

Why go pay for your own way to the races, excerpt a lot of energy your competition isn't because they are riding for a team, have less people working on your bikes and such, just to go out and possibly lower your stock value. Every one of the team managers know Dean Wilson is for real, he is on top of the world right now with his performances so far this summer, why cloud that by risking getting some 8th or 12th place finishes when he can sit back, get a deal set up for next year and come in all out.

Just my thoughts on this, Dean may be able to go out and run up front right away, but jumping in mid season is tough, especially without an established team behind you. It'd be a whole different ball game if he could go straight into the Canidae or PC Kawi truck.
