Don't worry they will all get free health care so long as they don't participate in any motorcycle riding.

The Factories are figuring out running your own team is much more expensive than supporting Satellite teams.

Maybe now the Sport will move forward even more.

The thought of the Factories threatening to start their own series is almost laughable now isn't it.

watch yer elbow trip..it don't bend like that. i think anybody with a brain and a friend on the inside knew team suzy racing was broke and shit like this was gonna come down. bummer...just means motocross is actually gonna be smaller than it was this year. the zenith of motocross was years ago....somebody better do something soon.

Tooltime and T.B. told me everyone was worried about getting paid, at first I thought it was a joke. They all huddled into a corner a started to talk, I thought Oh shit this is real.

Certain riders were getting paid $10 million bucks a year and there was a shit TV package, shit internet package and too much loot going to Lorettas and the C class.

Wait til the surgeon general outlaws energy drinks.

Southwick may be a rubber band start and spectators doing the flagging........ "cleaned house" seems to me that you support suzuki management? "closed shop" seems to me that you think management misread the accounts payable and receivable and the marketing budget (factory team) has to be cut to minimize the fuck up.

The factory teams are too proud to outsource things in fear of their precious "secrets" being revealed.

Their in-house spending for R&D is part of the problem.

The teams need to go outside of their walls! They'll spend a tenth of what their spending now, and have better bikes!

There are some shops that have ten times the equipment that race teams have so the work can be done very reasonably, hint hint!

Maybe they should have stuck to the stock air filter cages rather than blowing the bank on billet ones?

I love seeing trick stuff like that as much as the next guy, but if the team is broke I don't get lavish spending on stuff like that.

i'm lost here.

are we talking about "cleaning house" in terms of the riders? we all knew Alessi wasn't coming back and Dungey may sign with another team. So is that what this is about or is it the team members and infrastructure that was "cleaned out"?

I saw this the other day on motorcycle-usa.com:

"We also hear that Roger Decoster finally got some budget to work with from Suzuki, and they’re in the hunt to try and keep Ryan Dungey. Where that leaves Chad Reed? We’re not sure. One thing that is interesting, though, Chad said to effectively defend his title in his Australian Supercross championship he’ll need to wrap up a deal in the next three weeks or so. Yikes! "

Just as an FYI...I write that column for them each week.

All the race teams are getting their budgets from HQ much later than in the past, which is why you haven't heard much about rider signings...there were no budgets to sign with!

I think you'll see a slimmed-down effort from lots of teams. The most recent rumor I'd heard for Suzuki was two 450s and one 250. They have a lot of very talented and experienced team staff, and good chemistry there. I feel for those guys.

I saw the vitalmx link on the top right after I posted it GuyB. I don't usually check out that site but I saw the link on twitter, I'll be visiting it more often now!

I really hope Suzuki keeps Dungey, and I think it would be cool if they could find a way to keep Reedy too.

You forgot Vienna sausages and saltine crackers.....

And that cheese would be from a can, correct? Staples during my brief pro career.

You see. I just do not understand that. 1 250 rider? So when its on West Coast SX. There will be no Factory Suzuki's in the race or vice versa with East Coast. Doesn't make sens.

There are a lot of riders stepping up there game lately......factories could hire them for less $$ and have more riders on their bikes.......like the old Suz days.

Make a dirtbike bike that costs about 4K out the door and they wouldnt be so broke. Those 8 thousand dollar farm tractors are killing sales.

That's good thinking Racer but would you really want a 4k bike? I don't think the quality is high enough now (except KTM) let alone if they drop the price 4 grand.
