Haven't done any Mountain Biking for over 30 years!
Had one of the early Diamondback Hardtails back in 1986 time frame.
A lot of my dirtbiker friends are in the mountain bike game.
I know it helps them with their off road and endurance skills and as I get older I'm now 64--realizing I need to get in better shape.
Not to mention having to take statin drugs for so long for genetic cholesterol issues and I know that has jacked me up as well.
So if you have read this far I have a 2022 Specialized Turbo Levo Alloy on the radar from a friend from work he knows.
He has been trying to get me into it for awhile.
I know nothing about them other than the fact it has the 5.0 battery vs the Comp version with the 7.0, better suspension and components.
But the Comp version is more $$ and I can get this with 15 miles on it for $4600.

In my experience, it's a pretty significant difference in range between the 500wH and 700wH batteries.
The rest of the bike and the components should be more than good for your use. $4600 is pretty good considering it's practically new. Good opportunity to get your feet wet. You can always upgrade to the bigger battery down the line...
I will say an ebike with SRAM codes instead of guide brakes and gx instead of nx drivetrain will be much better also. Fox 36 or 38 suspension or rockshox lyric fork also. Stay away from anything with a 34 or Pike imo.

There are a lot of awesome trails 15 minutes from me.
I am so out of touch in the mountain bike world I don't think I'll have to worry about doing two hour rides for a while and I'm embarrassed to admit I really don't know what the hell you're talking about....

You will be happier with the comp and by the way, you will love the bike. Makes you feel 30 years younger.

The sale price is over, this is what they're going for now (negotiable, maybe?). Add in sales tax and that is quite a bit more than 4600.
I weigh 165, doubt I will be using FULL TURBO BOOST the whole time as someone mentioned.
Couple my friends said I could always upgrade to the bigger battery later on for a $1000.
15 miles practically new. Was going to buy it today but the freaking banks were closed!! Going there first thing in the morning.
Kinda stoked, now I have to buy some pedals and gear.
The guy was really cool and into street Motorcycles, he just picked up a mint Suzuki Bandit, will invite him on a ride soon.
Went to the bike shop to get some pedals and while there I had them install the tubleless set up. It was amazing how friendly and knowledgeable the girl was and knows all the local trails that are 15 minutes from me. She helped me with the APP for the bike that has so many options!
Had no idea the capability of these SMART machines.
They set up group rides on certain days, this has opened up a whole new world for me.
