If I’m traveling awhile with a bike tied down is it a good idea to release the air out of my airforks? KTM AER forks. Seems like they come this way from the factory to dealer. Bike will be tied down for 6 days.
no I don’t want to use one of those wheel braces, had some tip over experience.

Can you do the bike on the stand with the bike strapped at the pegs? I really like this option when possible.

If you're using a truck, load the bike diagonally in the bed and run a strap to the pegs from the tie down hooks. No pressure on the forks and the bike won't move. The bike and the tie downs will look like an X from above. Very efficient and no load on the suspension.

It won’t hurt suspension to be tied down for a while, typically it puts the forks at about half travel and they can be there for a long time with no worries. Hydraulic seals are pretty good at containing pressure, as long as they don’t get cut or abraded somehow they’ll last for years. They actually seal better under pressure by design.

Use the support that doubles as a side stand that came with the bike. That is exactly what that is for!

I use those stands on all my bikes. Does anyone know what the four clip looking parts that are on the outside legs?

I think it’s for using a bungee or something of the sort to wrap around the forks for added security.
