Meh, Chad hurt his shoulder at Southwick but Stew twisted his knee at High Point. Probably a non-factor

And the battles with RC at Washougal 2006 ? made arguably, the best 450 National in the last twenty years. 2022 450 National championship is the best series ever but in my book, nothing has topped Washougal that day.

It was well known and talked about at the time; he dislocated his shoulder and damaged the ligaments that hold it in. Doctors advice was not to ride. Everyone knew that, including Stew. Funny that James never pulled that stunt before or ever again and chose that day to do it. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

But regardless, being forced to race a class you’ve never raced before, on a bike you hate, in a country thousands of miles from home with no family support and beating everyone except the fastest 125 rider ever?
There’s no shame in that.
