No worries, just a funny coincidence that their announcement was right when you posted

Seen that Ben Watson is in Canada. Could just be a holiday or maybe his mxgp deal didn’t happen and he’s got a plan B. He did mention he had an offer from Canada

Farres originally had a deal lined up with F&H Kawasaki but then got the Star fill-in spot...after his impressive USA debut, he opted out of signing the F&H deal (it was either verbal or LOI at that point) and signed with Star for two years. Year one is MX only, year two is SX and MX. Unless he's absolutely killing it at SX come racing time, then he might race a region in 2023.

I think because of he is training sx with star guys, we dont see a PR for now.
IMO star guys could get ready him to race east coast.

Problem is Team can only run 3-riders per rules. So KTM is full with Adamo, Everts and Herlings. Nestaan has 2 riders and Gasgas full with 3. They are contracted with KTM i guess so they have to find proper team for them now after Diga closed doors.

Damn... Have 18 riders in France at the gatedrop but gave a limit of 3 riders per team in the rules 😂😖

That's 3 riders per class. Yamaha Factory has Seewer, Renaux and Coldenhoff + Geerts, Benistant and Elzinga.

The thing with KTM / Husqvarna / GasGas is, is that they're all part of the same group. So in fact they have about 8 riders at the moment. Not much budget for extra riders. Last year KTM only had 2 factory riders with Herlings and Vialle, after they chose not to replace the late Rene Hofer. Now they have 2 factory riders in MX2 again with Everts and Adamo.

Nope, it’s three riders total per team structure.

WILVO is the 450 Yamaha team and has three riders.

Kemea is the 250 Yamaha team and has three riders.

Back when KTM ran more than three riders, DeCarli’s team housed 2-3 of them and KTM’s own factory team housed 2-3.

Example, back in 2015 it was Cairoli, Searle and DeDycker under DeCarli’s tent and the MX2 team structure owned by KTM was Herlings, Jonass and Pootjes.

Coenen brothers will have to be placed in a different team structure that KTM group supports…

So, that's just like I said... Three riders per factory team per class. Cairoli, Searle and De Dycker MXGP. Herlings and Jonass MX2. Pootjes was an EMX250-rider for the first half of the season.

You can go around that rule pretty easy. F&H did it when Pootjes signed with F&H. They just created a new team : F&H Shop. He never rode a race for them because he broke his arm, but they had a 4 rider team that year with Pootjes at the F&H Shop, and Moosdijk,Boisrame,Haarup for F&H Racing

No. A team structure is limited to three riders in total, regardless of class. DeCarli is running two MXGP riders and a MX2 rider in 2023, they can't run any further riders in either class now.

I guess they need to split that team because of rules. Maybe they will run mx2 in one team and Herlings with someone in other? Cant see them dropping Adamo or Everts and Herlings to USA sounds too much.

Standing Construct Racing-Honda ?
Pauls Jonass ? (MXGP)
Brian Bogers ? (MXGP)

Bogers still riding Husqvarna so maybe team will continue with Husqvarna after all?

Quite a few deals being done now. After the last mx vice podcast seems like the only rider without a ride is Beaton. shame really as he showed a lot of promise last year. A fully healthy season and he could of been top 10. Seems like Ben has a ride and will be announced on Jan 1st. Be interesting to see who he is signing for.
