I find it kind of humorous how Marv has dominated straight rhythm. Here we have this event that is supposed to be all loose and crazy and tailor made for the giant whip throwing super scrubbing talents of the sport and ol Marv just lines up, goes straight down the track and whips everyone's ass by just being really efficient rather than ultra knar lol. Personality wise it reminds me in some ways of Travis Pastrana beating all the Mullisha guys in freestyle with his aw shucks attitude and smile.

Watching Marv time his landings perfectly on every jump, on every run that he's ever ran boggles my mind. His bike skill is other-worldly.

He has a boatload of experience. His timing has always been stellar. He was on the best bike too.

Who in the history of motocross is as smooth as Marv?

Some names that come to mind:

Bailey
Bayle
Jett
Everts

What's insane is that he didn't even do the quad and others were much faster in the whoops. He's just so damn efficient at everything else

Reminds me a lot of McGrath. Perfect timing and keeps the bike low without scrubbing all that much.

So what it looks like, corners is where he is unable to put it together.

He is also one of the best riders to push through a jump and take the momentum to move forward instead of upward.

Some guys are like that. Marv must just have that ability to absolutely throw down for a short time. I think it's about concentration and focus.

Edited for clarity.
