Its not..."Hey if you cut production you could send the world into a massive recession, that benefits nobody, including you, because it will ultimately result in massive reductions in demand for oil"

or

"hey, if you cut production you are going to make millions of families around the world struggle to put food on the table"...

This shows you exactly where this dudes priorities are...he only cares about retaining power for him and his party...so we get:

"hey, go ahead and cut production, but could you wait until after November 8th to do it so it will benefit my party at the election? I don't care about the global economy, I don't care about lower income families...I just care about retaining power."

What a royal selfish idiot...

The one Reese started? My guess is he deleted it himself. I know it wasn't me.

No my comments about it in this thread. He said he deleted it. Just curious if the comments were deleted because they were off topic.

Reese deleted it. He posted here that he deleted it, then deleted that post. I don't think he liked the way it was playing out. Laughing

Yeah I know, that was one of the comments I made in this thread which was deleted. Pretty sure Reese doesn’t have mod privileges and cannot delete my posts. It was a good discussion, I didn’t see the value in deleting it.

If you respond to my post and I later delete my post, your response is deleted too. You can also delete an entire thread if you started it.

I'll be honest, I have no idea what you're talking about. I last checked the thread last night.

If you quoted his post and he deleted his post, yours goes away with it.

Reducing demand for fuel, because of dropping consumer confidence, because of recession fears, because of inflation, because of wreckless spending and unnecessary stimulus as part of a massive over-reaction to Covid…is finally causing fuel prices to drop.

Look at that, the government is fixing a problem they caused.  Let’s all be sure and pat them on the back! (Even though we are worse off now, than when they screwed everything up to begin with.)

So i went christmas shopping with my family today, places i have been regularly , all times of the year, and today, i will tell you here in the UK , it was like i have never seen, normally you have to queue to get in to car parks and all sorts, none of it at all, we drove between 3 places we usually walk to because giving up a space is an hour of your life you wont get back

Black Friday was a bust here too, huge uptick in returns, with no real uptick in sales.

Fuel prices have started to drop here, but more to the point that folk just arent going places and doing stuff IMO .

Went to eat at a place tonight that would be a total lockout for a month before Xmas and it was only half full, my daughter went earlier in the week and it was the same, so it was nothing to do with sportsball being on.

We have strikes imminent with Train drivers and station staff, Nurses, firemen, local authority , and numerous others, its going to get worse before it gets better, if it ever does.

America is propped up by consumer debt at the moment…but that is all ending soon (credit cards will be maxed out soon)….we had big Black Friday numbers because more and more people are trying to save a buck and went out of their way to buy on the sales.

I think America will start see massive changes in spending after Christmas…and the true state of our economy will become very apparent…

Dang!   I was just telling my wife that if gas prices could get back down in the 2’s I’d stop complaining (it’s $3.57 at my neighborhood station)…so I’m a bit jealous of those prices…and I don’t even have it “bad” relative to some places in the country coughCaliforniacough…

It's still $4.27/gal over here for what the Navy Exchange calls 92 octane (my car sure doesn't run like it), and that's with no sales tax.

Diesel is over 6 a gal yet. People should worry about that more than the price of gas. Gas is 1 thing you buy. Diesel effects everything you buy.  Uncap  the wells in west Texas there’s enough to power the world for ovr 10,000 yrs. Majority of  the wells r on pipeline no need to drill . It is cheap in Baton Rouge tho

No doubt. Diesel and fuel oil affects everything even if you don't buy it yourself. Had to call the oil guy here a couple of weeks ago, diesel tanks almost empty, snow here soon, and tractors don't run without it. Had a fuel oil tank getting down too. Almost $4500, and we only have 2 x 200 gallon tanks. Plus an almost dry tractor. Going to be a long painful winter for those who heat only with oil.

Today's price at the Shell pump.

Not bad considering the 'small government, low tax' republi-cons in the Indiana state house raised the gas tax to 62 cents/gallon in June.
