You poor Californicator/left coast/anti-gunners.....a bat?

Keep your title/MSO with you and find them out with the bike in public. Stop and make small talk and confirm visually it's your bike. Put an eye on the VIN to confirm it. If it is, you and your buddies have the right to restrain the thief while law enforcement is summoned. When they arrive, show them your proof of ownership and you should be going home with said vehicle.

Of course, in Arizona, I would have something much more useful than a bat in my fanny pack...

You can almost bet on it, if you show up at their house, the cops will soon be there. Be prepared for a criminal trespass charge. And if you take a weapon, it may be probable that the "criminals" have the right to defend themselves against deadly force with equal deadly force.

This is the unfortunate truth. Maybe hire a couple of thugs to retrieve your scoot...sort of like paying a reward. They would be used to dealing with this sort of crap!

this was what i was thinking. im positive its my bike because of the special parts on them that make it obvious. i would go as a buyer and would think the trepass would not apply at first. one of my friends called this guy already and he said he would go. these people who got my bikes robbed my house, stole my truck and took alot of stuff. i showed the cops pics of the bikes and shoped them the ad they were on and the cop said "thats definately your bikes". i dont understand why it would take them so long to set up a bust when one of my friends can do it in 10 minutes

Go medieval on 'em. Then, like my brother in law cop says, don't be lazy; bury them deep.

Don't try and steal your stuff back unless you want to get into trouble with the law. I'd just wait on the police, maybe call them to see what's taking so long. How long has it been since you called?

Maybe you're part of a new series of overhaulin' for dirtbikes? Was one of the thieves in a wheel chair and have gray hair? All joking aside I hope you get that straitened out without too much stress on your part.

Grab all the proof you can grab (MSO, title, whatever you have). Call the local police, and tell them you are on your way to retrieve your stolen property, and that you won't be leaving without it...They'll meet you there.

Either that, or call 911, and tell them there are 3 guys raping a 13 year old next door to the thieves, and wait down the street for the whole damn local police force to descend upon the scene. Then ask the perps nicely for your stuff back.

Just call the cops when you get there and tell them you are being threatened with deadly force, and you will be doing what you have to do in order to protect yourself. They WILL come out.

Sad that the cops are swamped and can't get to stuff like this but it is a sign of the times.

You did the right thing even though it would have felt awfully nice to crack some teeth.
Hope you get your stuff back quickly.

Kill them and be done with it.

I have no use for thieves.
